"Beat the Ram"

The driving force to see it is the sexy charm of the new 007 actor Daniel Craig. So although there is almost no dialogue in the whole story, there is no plot, no acting skills, except for racing, car crash, boat crashing, and airplane crashing. But because the real eye candy of Daniel Craig, this handsome guy, is always in the middle of the picture, I have no dissatisfaction. After I came back, I turned over the dialogue of the previous 007 (Casino Royale) and found out how bad this 007 is. Imagination. So I can only recommend it to everyone who is obsessed with Daniel Craig cool guy. Cool guy is really cool from beginning to end. There is nothing else to see.

Gui pointed out one sentence from Anthony Lane’s film review that is wonderful: The title[Quantum of Solace] is too frail by far. Someone should have called it “Total of Wreckage.” Or “Batter of Ram.” The Chinese translation of the movie name is actually quite wrong. The original meaning of Quantum of Solace is actually “measure of comfort” ( A sense of ease?) Taken from a saying "If the sense of ease in marriage is zero, this marriage will come to an end." (A Marriage is over when the quantum of solace is zero). This title is chosen to point out 007 because In the last episode, he lost his lover, sorrow and anger completely controlled him, and he needs to find that Quantum of solace to start again. Anthony Lane’s film review said, "The title Quantum of Solace is too warm, this movie is all about big Fighting, it should be called'full wreckage' or'beating the ram'." Ha!

I think'Beat the Ram' is the most vivid, because in order to play this movie, Daniel Craig suffered three injuries. The first time was on the face with four stitches; the second time the shoulder was broken and the doctor hit six bone nails. Go in and fix your arms; slice off your fingertips for the third time.

Quantum of Solace quotes

  • James Bond: How much oil did the Americans promise you?

    M: This isn't about oil.

James Bond: Well, that's good because there isn't any.

M: It's about trust. You said you weren't motivated by revenge.

James Bond: I'm motivated by my duty.

M: No. I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go.

  • M: It'd be a pretty cold bastard who didn't want revenge for the death of someone he loved.
