"Ichi the Killer" final deconstruction: s / m violent interpretation ■ text / Vulcan discipline
brutal. bloody. The taste of semen and the endless killing. Such a flat interpretation made me cramped. However. All of these make me addicted and obsessed. Don't tell me; straightforward and tasteless. In my opinion; it just told me indirectly. In fact, you are not brave enough. --Inscription. Vulcan Ji.
first. It is necessary to clarify that the final deconstruction mentioned here refers to my last interpretation of this film rather than the ultimate interpretation of this film. I can't do it, and maybe no one can do it, even Takashi Miike; I can't be sure. There are too many possibilities in this movie, and these possibilities bring uncertain conjectures, and this is also the most fascinating part of this movie. Many, seemingly incomprehensible, are very similar to the pen of God; and too many coincidences and inspirations are piled together. If given a correct and appropriate interpretation, from the perspective of human nature, this movie is very close to greatness. NS. Before that, I wrote four articles about this movie: " Totally Cruel in the Name of Takashi Miike "; " Asano Tadanobu's Crazy and Abusive Desire "; " Sun Jiajun, Karen or Tachibana's Confusion " and " About Kaneko An Imagination of a Family . But before writing this article, I always thought that my interpretation of this film was incomplete. Because I have been avoiding Ah Yi, I have been looking forward to the opportunity, inspiration or desire to write this review. I have always wanted to write a review of Yi Yi independently, and Yi Yi has never been mentioned in the previous reviews. This is the origin of this article.
I remember the book review of Ouyang Zi from Taiwan. Her review is Mr. Bai Xianyong's book review with the highest recognition of his novel. Mr. Bai Xianyong once said that many things that remained in the subconscious mind when he was creating were discovered by Ouyangzi. When creating, he only felt that he wanted to do this, must do this, and can only do this, but he never thought about it. Why. But Ouyang Zi answered all the questions for him. subconscious. Such words seem to excite me very much. When creating, things without a reason actually have their reasons. After the things that even the author doesn't know why are unearthed, the subconscious will be interpreted. The subconscious is flowing in the works, and in many cases it seems a little unsolvable or without reason. This is the most exciting place in many works, including text and movies. Why do I say that no one can give an ultimate interpretation of this movie. Because this movie has a lot of things like this kind of subconscious flow. disorder. Unreasonable. Complex branch lines. Reasonable but not reasonable. This is the most fascinating place of any great work, the most shining light. Especially when we find a way to interpret. Or when trying to interpret, this is enough to make us addicted. subconscious. Bai Xianyong. Ouyang Zi. "Taipei People." Interpretation. Takashi Miike. movie. literature. creation. This set of messy phrases is what I call these keywords. I might be able to arrange it better, but I am too lazy to do it that way. Because some people will understand. This is enough. Some movies are not made for everyone to see, and some texts are not all people can understand. Takashi Miike has such a talent and ability to make movies closer to greatness.
I talked to my friend Nymphetamine a while ago about the strange aesthetic of genre movies. Nymphetamine's preference for this type of film is far below me. Her opinion is quite extreme, but I can accept it, and even agree with it. Because in the eyes of many people, my aesthetics is equally distorted and alternative. Many people don't like this type of movie. CUT; cutting; bloody. This kind of movie is classified as CUT movie (non-CULT) in my personal classification. Nymphetamine said, why people can’t accept this kind of movie, because this kind of movie involves too much depiction of the dark side of human nature, and those who can’t accept it, in fact, they are more unable to accept their dark desires. The most real thing is often The most unacceptable. So people are accustomed to standing in the distance and screaming respectfully, with disdain and panic on their faces. The biggest panic is actually in their hearts, and they can't face that ugly self. A word used by Nymphetamine: "unworthy". I found that I like this word. At least in this word, I was promoted to a certain level, a level with which I can talk and argue. As mentioned above. At some point, everyone will have craziest desires and obscure things that they can't even believe. Undoubtedly, the image of Ah Yi is in line with my desire. So, I love this movie so much.
Ah Yi is a man with a severe schizophrenia but possessing special skills. Can I say that. In other words, he is just a normal cowardly child. But he has been hypnotized for a long time, so many times he didn't even know that he was the savior who had killed countless times. But this is still schizophrenia. Most of the time, Ah Yi appeared introverted, quiet, cowardly, timid, restless, lonely, a little autistic, like a naive and lovely child. However, as a killer, Ah Yi is so tyrannical and crazy. That is the most arrogant brutality as a person. As Yi who is just Ah Yi, he is the most cowardly pale of a person. He wrapped himself in a quilt and shivered, constantly controlling the video game as coldly and ruthlessly as he himself was when he was killing. Perhaps only at this time, Ah Yi was unified. A cowardly but cruel child; a scared but violent genius.
I like Ah Yi. Because whether it was the crazy or the cowardly Ah Yi, he had survived on me at some point. At the most, I was still the cowardly Ah Yi. Even though I still yearn for cruelty. But because the desire will never be able to be satisfied, so the cowardly instinct can completely kill me. So I prefer Ah Yi. Kill the bad guys, kill the worst bullies; from then on, the world is peaceful. The naive wishes that I had when I watched the anime "Astro Boy", "Transformers" or "Saint Seiya" when I was young have never died. But, most of the time, I still can only wrap up my blanket and use another me who looks like an invincible hero to conquer the strange dark world. My footprints can be all over all corners and bring light. It’s just that I understand that there will always be a bigger bully behind the worst bully. This is reality. Life is a game. A game that cannot be cleared without the ultimate boss. What I desire will never be achieved. What's more sad is that I often can only watch everything happen, pass away, die, and resurrect. I will not be the protagonist of this game, I am just an irrelevant character. So no matter what I want to do for the world, whether it is so urgent or not; I can't do anything, I can't do anything. In my world, I am the king of the world, and I am the lord god above all. But out of this world; I am nothing, I have nothing. Ah Yi. Killer Aichi. In fact, it was just a distorted naive wish. It's just that in Sanchi Takashi's bloody fairy tale there will never be such a tender ending: the bad guys die, and the kind people live a peaceful, stable and happy life from then on. And what Miike Takashi did was to twist this pale status quo into his cruel lens with a seemingly straightforward abstraction.
Ah Yi is a kind child. At least in his own mind, what he did was just doing good deeds for the heavens. Killing is just to let those who are as weak and helpless as himself, those who are unable to resist, live a better life. To some extent, he is also a cowardly child. He is always violent when people appear most helpless. Only after falling into the lowest level of helplessness and panic, all things related to cowardice all counterattacked, refracted with brutality, and madness was achieved. Of course, he is also a person with abusive tendencies. That innocent and poor prostitute who was killed and her morbid groom, Ah Yi hid on their balcony every time they peeked at their punches and kicks and the s/m-style sex process always made him into excitement and frenzy. And when he killed almost all the members of the Ansheng team, the camera once featured his erect penis. Mixed in the splashing blood is Ah Yi's hot semen. There is no doubt: murder; splashing blood; diffuse blood; death and despair; sorrowful roar will make him involuntarily excited. All this makes Ah Yi look like a twisted weird child. His cowardice made him look pitiful and overflowed with my sympathy countless times when I watched this movie. Killing makes him happy and also makes me happy. When I watched this movie, it flooded my brutality countless times. So, while crying more cowardly, while tearing more crazily. In the middle, there is also his complicated sexual excitement. To a certain extent, I overturned the previous argument, or inferred further that Ah Yi is not just a weird child with sadomasochism. He is also a weird child with a tendency to abuse. He was still tortured by intense cowardice while killing. He was suppressing his fear and suppressing his anger, crying and brutality became the only way for him to release. He is trying harder to suppress everything. We can see this restrained struggle in close-ups of his face. But, the more depressed, the more struggling, the more struggling, the more painful. This is a torture that he is completely powerless to control. But he was enjoying his torment again. Regardless of whether this torture is due to himself or others, he is powerless to get rid of this torture and the pleasure that can be released after the torture. This is actually his masochistic nature. From this it can be seen that the whole Ah Yi, everything about him is similar to s/m sadomasochism. Who once said that there are only two manifestations of love: masochistic and sadistic, that is, s/m. In other words, s/m is the only form of love. It's a bit out of context, but on a certain level, it's not meaningless. I have demonstrated this point in previous film reviews, so I won’t repeat it.
Sadomasochism. s/m. The only form of love. When love reaches a certain level of extreme, the so-called madness is not surprising. This may be the origin of s/m. In the philosophies of Japan’s unique island nations, s/m is not a restricted national characteristic. Bushido, for example, has a strong s/m flavor. Of course, s/m is not only expressed in sex. All of this was reflected when Ah Yi stopped, maybe it was the maybe fictional Miss Tachibana. Uncle may be able to answer everything. He constructed almost all of Ah Yi's memory. His dialogue with Karen is perhaps the most important scene in this movie. Because this scene gave the movie more possibilities and made this movie no longer flat and straightforward. Karen or Miss Tachibana. Or Karen who accepted the memory of Miss Tachibana after being hypnotized. Or Karen who has forgotten that she is Miss Tachibana. Regardless of the possibility, this directly led to the final death of this character. She inspires Ah Yi's madness and completes Ah Yi's fictional memory. From this point of view, the two possibilities of this character's human form seem irrelevant. But for Ah Yi, she is a very important figure. Boss An Sheng indeed died in the hands of four people, Yi and Uncle. There is no doubt about this. But why did they kill Boss An Sheng. This scene gives at least one possible cryptic explanation. He died of some kind of transaction, conspiracy or agreement between Jialun and Uncle. Of course, things may not be as simple as they seem. Jia Lun may want to kill An Sheng boss for a woman’s desire to possess, including her desire to possess An Sheng’s boss Yakihara, and the meaning of replacing An Sheng’s boss with Yuan Yuan, etc., but why did Uncle work with her? Unknown. But common goals and interests can contribute to a shady contract.
Almost all of Ah Yi's memories were hypnotized by his uncle. Therefore, this scene is particularly important for the interpretation of Ah Yi's psychological entanglement. It must be reasonable for one person to construct another's memory. This is a huge psychological project. Uncle, this muscular man hiding in the raincoat is at least a master of psychology. And one of the biggest components of Aichi's psychological entanglement is that Miss Tachibana who may not exist. When Ah Yi was besieged by several people, Miss Tachibana stepped forward to rescue him but was raped instead. Ah Yi could only watch her being violated and had nothing to do. This was Ah Yi's first knot. Then a more difficult to speak concealed mentality appeared. He looked at the woman who had saved himself but was raped with a strong impulse and unprecedented excitement. In addition to his inability to help, he had a more shameful emotion. That is a strong desire to violate this woman. This desire gradually deteriorated, and finally became Miss Tachibana. Not only was she not afraid of being violated but also liked being violated, and what she wanted most was to be violated by Aichi. All this is the cornerstone of Ah Yi's psychological structure. Battered and sadistic, s/m. On this basis, many seemingly unrelated things can be connected. For example, Yi goes to watch a man abuse a prostitute and ejaculate excitedly. For example, Yi killed the man and said to the woman: Don't worry, I will beat you for him in the future. For example, after Ah Yi rescued Xiao Wu, he ran away in panic. For example, Jialun confided to Ah Yi: I long to be violated, long to be violated by you, long to be cut piece by piece, longing for pain, longing for despair, longing to taste the taste of death carefully in this way...It can be said that Jialun It was a generous gift from Uncle Uncle to A Yi. The desire for abuse, the cruelty of sadism and all the obscure desires were satisfied, and all the fictional memories were confirmed. This movie is a violent interpretation of s/m. At least in Ah Yi, we can see something. Sadomasochism. s/m. Violence. These three have a perfect unity in Ah Yi. This is why there is always that kind of inexplicable sexual excitement, erect penis and even ejaculation when he kills. As for the crying Ah Yi; that is the worry, fear and anger in the weak side.
Uncle A once told A Yi that Jin Jin is his elder brother who has been separated for many years. So the situation in which Kaneko and Ah Yi met seemed very interesting. One side is full of warm wishes, and the other side is full of sad memories. The two are staggered. Each is parallel. The stories that happened in the scene and the stories in the memories are layered on top of each other. The resulting sparks are enough to push the lyrical depiction of the movie to the top. Uncle can at least be regarded as the man behind everything in this movie. Ah Yi's memory and Jin Jin's experience are superimposed on Uncle's plan. Became the third story. Or. Did Ah Yi finally die? If you die in Xiaowu's punches and kicks, this assumption may seem too bold. But the crow in the last scene of the movie may be able to show that the young man with hatred in his eyes is Xiaowu, and all this is not impossible. Ah Yi died of his own fictitious memory, of gentle feelings towards this fictitious nephew, and of his uncle's tactics. And Uncle died in Xiaowu's revenge. The height from the ground made it impossible for him to hang himself and kill himself. And Xiao Wu's resentful eyes left me with the last guess, if A Yi does not exist, but just Xiao Wu's delusions or twisted memories, it is just a fictitious reason for Xiao Wu to kill Uncle Uncle. In such layers of fictional movies, this greater possibility of fiction may exist.
s/m. It is Takashi Miike who portrays all this so beautifully. Violent interpretation. Behind the many possibilities in this movie is the deep-rooted precipitation and summary of the Japanese island nation of s/m. Before these possibilities, it was only a personal understanding of the personal operation of the lens manipulation and the smooth and brutal visual effects. brutal. There is nothing wrong with it. When we are already unable to save ourselves. s/m. Sadism and abuse. When everything reaches a certain extreme, any cruelty can be understood and exists. I have written too much text for this movie. Aesthetic fatigue makes me not want to write one more word. At least I have completed my interpretation completely. And more things in this movie exist in my imagination. Perhaps this is not something I can repeat one by one.
