Polite sincere

Elwood is very polite, always "after you!" when entering the door with others. When he said this, he felt fresh and natural, like a spring breeze. I think that a colleague in the company is similar, he will say "good morning" when meeting people in the morning, and he will also make a gesture of "please first" when he goes out of the elevator with everyone. After some time, I felt that his behavior was hypocritical.
