At the end of the European War, the Allied forces gradually filled with optimism. In order to end the war ahead of schedule, allied generals across the country believed that as long as a fierce attack, they could go straight to Berlin and end the war early. So he rashly dropped a large number of paratroopers behind the German camp to capture the bridge across the Rhine in Arnhem. Unexpectedly, encountering the stubborn resistance of the German army, the Allied forces paid a heavy price for casualties. This was the most dramatic battle of the Second World War and ended in a tragic defeat by the Allies.
