"Citizen Kane"-Kane's Childhood Psychology

I finished watching "Citizen Kane" today. I remember Lao Bai said that after watching a good movie, it will trigger a lot of thinking. It's not that you watch it, you pass it, it's over.
From this perspective, "Citizen Kane" is indeed a good movie, and even many movies today have its shadow.
In that era, it was indeed very powerful to have such a concept.

When Kane’s sleigh was finally put into the fire and burned, I thought this movie was a tragedy.
What Kane himself thinks is the most precious thing in life, but in the eyes of others, it is rubbish.
I think Kane’s tragedy is due to his interpretation of love, which remained at the stage of the kid holding the sled board n years ago.
However, fate allows him to control too much money and power.

For him, he just wants everyone’s love,
and the child’s understanding of love is to give you what I have, but don’t know whether the other party needs it or not.
In this respect, he is horribly innocent.
You can imagine the behavior of children everywhere around you, children like to collect some strange things, they think it is very valuable, maybe it is just a rubber with a different design.
When they like you, they will give you this rubber solemnly as if they have made a big decision. Don't show the emotions like omg, because they care very much.
Because it is a child, people think that such behavior is innocent and cute.
However, it becomes unforgivable when placed on an adult with a priceless wealth.
Kane didn't understand what he had done wrong until he died. He devoted everything he could to please the people he loved, and ended up in a betrayal.

In fact, Kane's entanglement with the sled board is just that, in the case of his lack of decision-making ability, he was imposed a destiny that he did not want.
So that, when he feels that he has powerful abilities, he wants to use these abilities to compensate and to recover what he has lost, that is-love.
From the moment he left home, he had been alone until he died. All of his past, like phantoms, could never be implanted in his heart.

His good friend, Leland said, Kane, he only loves himself, and everything he does is to satisfy his own wishes.
He believes that everything is attached to him. He is just giving gifts of attachments to prove that he is an ideal person in his mind.
At this point, Kane once again demonstrated his childishness.
Hungry for attention. When a child speaks, adults must pay attention to him and care about him. Even a little bit will make them gratify.
If you ignore his existence, then the child will do a series of things to attract your attention, which may be flattering or rebellious.
Then, wait proudly for your appreciation.
Kane is fragile, and the people he pleases don't take this set.
No one is wrong, innocence is not a bad thing, but it can't fight this complicated world.

I have seen a film review saying that Kane is very similar to Puyi in "The Last Emperor".
Maybe, given too much power to a child, they can only use these powers to stage an innocent and beautiful drama.
Their dreams are also particularly easy to break, because they have never put themselves on the ground to experience the other side of this world.

Kane did not see that the screenwriter destroyed his dream country, his sled is burning...
You can say that it is desperate, because chasing a lifetime, it is just a glitzy dream.
You can also say that it is vigilant. It turns out that if you cherish the people and life you have now, it is the whole life.

I have read "Knowing Movies" translated by Jiao Xiongping before. The first eleven chapters of the book quoted hundreds of films to introduce film theories from photography, script to performance, and language. The last chapter is a summary of the book, with four chapters. Word: "Citizen Kane". Regardless of light and shadow or soundscape, I still can't convince me that this is a movie made in 1941.

This kind of film does not need subtitles in the top three districts. I can't translate it myself, which means it is difficult to understand.

Boss Jim Gettys: I am not a gentleman. I don't even know what a gentleman is.
