Sister-in-law is older than host-in-law

It stands to reason that the movie is named after "Vedock Franstein". It should mainly describe the story of how the weird genius Vedok Franstein created monsters, but the 2015 version puts more space and description on its assistant. Igor (Daniel Radek) (it seems that the original novel doesn't have this role, it's weird here). Watching the entire drama, I personally feel that it is the inspirational life history of my assistant Igor. At the beginning, I was a clown in a circus. Because of his hunchback and weird walking, everyone was always screaming at him. They didn’t even have their own name, but they were private. He is very specialized in medicine underneath. By chance, her favorite girl accidentally fell while doing an aerial performance. Igor, who was hiding by the side, rescued the girl with his usual medical expertise, and met Victor (James McAvoy) in this way. Next is the more clichéd plot. Victor rescued Igor and cured his hunchback, making him his assistant. Igor also made full use of his medical talent to help Victor realize his dream of creating monsters, and finally embraced the beauty. . The creation of monsters by Victor has become the sideline of the movie, and the monsters that are created are also stop at the end, and they are destroyed shortly after creation. In the description of the characters, Igor is a positive group, kind, calm, and talented, and Victor is a negative group, reckless, conceited, psychologically distorted, and persistent. These characteristics are still consistent with the original novel. However, this version does not have too many surprises and highlights, and the deviation from the original is still quite large. Personally, I still prefer the 1994 version of "Frankenstein", except that it is more loyal to the original, the description of monsters, and the subsequent birth of female monsters, etc. are all heartbreaking and helpless. It is worth mentioning that I was fascinated by the beauty of the heroine (i.e. Igor's favorite female, James McAvoy), and the movie also gave her a good character, kind, brave, and able to sacrifice for the person she likes.

I should be the only one who came for the style of director Paul. The familiar composition and lighting style, aside from the unconventional steampunk style of the original book, and the long-lost and beautiful pictures, I have been satisfied. Yimei Dandan and Mo Niang are naturally plus points, and the script, choreography and editing are really weak.

The ending was a bit rushed, with James McAvoy going too far and spitting out unbearable.

Victor Frankenstein quotes

  • Finnegan: You know, for men so obsessed with death, you think yourselves so above violence. Curious.

  • Victor Von Frankenstein: Life... I'll say this very slowly... is merely... the application and outcome of applied chemistry.
