Don't despair at any time

This is the most inspirational sci-fi movie I have ever watched. In fact, the same is true in real life. Now that the Internet and new technologies are developing so fast, many excellent people in various fields are facing unemployment and being eliminated. What's the matter? Our past efforts and excellence are not worthless, but we need to change to a new environment, reorganize the new knowledge, understand and master the new trends, the characteristics of the new technology, and naturally will return to the king. As long as the bottle is there, Moutai or Louis XIII can be used!

I bought a Blu-ray and revisited this famous wasteland sci-fi film. "Future Water World" in 1995, "The Postman" in 1997, and "Soldiers" in 1998, these three apocalyptic films are undoubtedly ahead of the times, at least conceptually, the aesthetics of the ruins created are quite charming. The plot of this film is simple and rough, but the design of the wasteland style scenes, costumes and other aspects is very classic, which greatly affects my fascination with the wasteland style.

Soldier quotes

  • [after Caine 607 loses an eye to Todd during training]

Colonel Mekum: Do you know how much it costs to breed you, you big moron? To train you? To feed you? What good is this man now? He's got no depth perception! All he can do is walk point and take the first hit!

  • Church: Todd was our best man.

Colonel Mekum: You still don't get it, do you, Captain?

[He draws his pistol and shoots one of the wounded soldiers right between the eyes]

Colonel Mekum: Your men are obsolete.
