"Western World"-a hunting playground for humans and robots

This old sci-fi movie became hot again because it was about to be made into an American drama. After watching it, there was only one thought in my mind: It is a pity that such a rich story was not made into a TV series early. The film not only shows the worries about the future world under the rapid development of science and technology, but also deeply shows the thorough exposure of human nature in a scrupulous environment. If technology can travel through time and space for us, then whether awe and reflection are inversely proportional to the progress of technology; if the creation of robots is only to serve humans and cannot be rebelled, then how much human behavior is in line with the creator’s will; if with the progress of technology Human beings will eventually destroy themselves, so whether or not to advance at full speed on this road to suicide is the voice of nature.

Imagine the future world. The city of entertainment created by people is based on the three themes of "Medieval Castle", "Roman World" and "Western World". It reproduces the fall of ancient Roman Pompeii before the fall, and the thirteenth century is dominated by chivalry. The romantic duel in 1880, the wild west, which was dominated by violence and brutality in 1880, cost one thousand dollars a day. After choosing a theme, you can experience the most realistic lifestyle at that stage. Humans and robots coexist. Robots with different programs have only one goal, which is to maximize the satisfaction of tourists...until all this is lost control.

In the beginning of the movie, there was an interview advertisement about the happy tourists after the game. One of the middle-aged people enthusiastically said how many people he had killed. When the host asked if it didn’t matter, the middle-aged people hesitated for a moment. Then he argued for himself, "After all, they may be robots, I mean I think they are robots, I know they are robots!" The sentence includes guilt from doubt, to self-righteous vindication, to standing on the high ground of morality. The resulting anger, along with the three different words "may/think/konw", easily demonstrated the barbaric nature of that amusement park and the nature of human avoidance of responsibility. The following plot carefully analyzed to the audience that the only difference between a human and a robot is that the palm of the robot is different from that of a human. At the same time, the gun has a safety function and can only shoot and kill the temperatureless machine. This tourist may have enjoyed the freedom of letting me be king when he is not clear about the truth, and this freedom will activate his bestiality disguised in the shackles and regulations of modern society.

Speaking of rules, it is nothing more than the self-protection required by the weak to unite. At the beginning of the film, a curious and timid ordinary man, with the typical characteristics of ordinary tourists visiting your place for the first time: fear of causing trouble, demanding value for money, and concealing inner panic through endless chatter. We don't know what the male second looked like before he came to this place of freedom without legal constraints, but he was obviously a regular customer, enjoying all the rights the world gave him-sex, and murder. The rules of this amusement park are only for robots, that is to completely please tourists, here, tourists are weak from the beginning. Like outside the playground, they need the strong to be restrained before they can live. When they force and shoot robots, they are in the same posture as when they require everyone to abide by the traffic rules and laws.

The first half of the transformation of Male No.1’s personality is very obvious: from not dare to cause trouble, to unscrupulously shooting annoying objects; from being shameful and guilty by calling a chicken, to shooting the sheriff to destroy the newly established legal system; from The visitors of the amusement park become the masters of the machine society. Male One showed the ugly truth of human beings after they tasted power. Although the robot that chased him was finally killed, it did not make people feel happy. After the disaster, there is only endless exhaustion.

The three worlds have embarked on a true historical trajectory as the robots rebelled for unknown reasons-coincidentally, the destruction, violence and killing have become the first major things that robots have to do after they have self-awareness, much like a condensed version of human history, fast play The war of humanity once again destroyed Pompeii in obscenity, the duel of the Middle Ages made thief-hearted little people disappear on the stage of history, the proliferation of guns and lawlessness finally made the wild west a thing of the past. The film does not give an answer to why robots will rise up, but watching the progress of human history, we can always draw conclusions. The so-called amusement park without law and law and lawlessness is nothing more than a carnival of self-destruction in the end.
