I had trouble sleeping. So I can use some company.

I learned about this movie by chance, and finally watched it intermittently on a Friday night.
Very sloppy plot, very literary tune, it seems very philosophical, an analysis and epiphany about love, very nice music, very beautiful pictures...a collection of all possible romantic but endless elements: midnight, Downbeat musicians, a party, small talks, adventures, almost lover, wine and coffee. The camera shakes so badly, and the small film is made, but it seems very natural and unpretentious.
He wasn't interested in the story of the two protagonists, but found the grandfather of fortune-telling very interesting. The sentence "I had trouble sleeping. So I can use some company." makes people feel just right warm and beautiful. I often suffer from insomnia and often get frustrated. Unfortunately, not everyone in life has the same frequency as you. At this time, how lucky it is to meet someone who is in the same mood and situation as you. Just like when watching "The Happiness Line Behind the Dark Clouds", there is a comment I like very much: by such a coincidence, you are also insane. It looks so cute, but when I think about it, I think it's so sweet and cute. Two people who suffer from insomnia at the same time don't need to talk about the great principles of life. Sometimes they just need to cherish each other and talk about small talks and they feel very good.
"It's such a coincidence, you can't sleep either."

On the streets at midnight, walking, talking about heart matters, nothing to do with lust, nothing to do with money, romantic to death. Maybe you and I will never meet again in the future, but we will never forget this night.

Before We Go quotes

  • Brooke Dalton: I'm sure that my husband will really appreciate your helping me. It's incredibly generous of you!

Nick Vaughan: You didn't have to do that.

    [silently chucking to self]

    Brooke Dalton: What?

    [seemingly unaware]

    Nick Vaughan: The husband thing.

Brooke Dalton: Well... I didn't mean to distrust you. It's just you're being so nice!

    Nick Vaughan: ...Nice.

    [ponders the thought while smirking]

  • Brooke Dalton: It's... it's complicated.

    Nick Vaughan: Got it.

Brooke Dalton: What is that supposed to mean?

Nick Vaughan: Well... it's not rocket science.
