PUSHING DAISIES

I am a big fan of ABC TV station, but it is a pity that the new and old dramas will not be broadcast until the National Day. Looking at ABC's website (foreign websites are beautiful, but it is forbidden to watch episodes outside the country is bad), I found PUSHING DAISIES, although it is not the kind of WOW, but it has a fresh taste.

The use of various large color blocks and surreal images make this black fairy tale attractive, with a wise and humorous narration, a tall and handsome male protagonist, nostalgic clothing, weird stories, platonic love... ……… What I like most is that it is not another fairy tale love story, but sadness under the guise of a fairy tale. The contrast between the two is very dramatic. The innocent pictures and the plot of the fairy tale did not make the show low IQ, it just made the show affinity and added comedy elements; the fairy tale is actually cruel underneath, the sad childhood of NED, the lonely character of LILY&VIVIAN, the hero and heroine Falling in love can not have any fate of physical contact. Below the absurd story is a true heart. The love story of two generations in the episode of "Dove" is not sensational, but it is also moving.

PUSHING DAISIES I really don’t understand what the daisy in this name means. The Chinese name "Ming Detective Ai Ai" is even more inexplicable (most of the American dramas are either literally translated or inexplicable). "Ling Zhi Shen Detective" is barely qualified. I think if it’s a Korean drama, it’s a good translation, it’s called "The Untouchable Lovers", it’s enough to spill blood.

Pushing Daisies quotes

  • Ned: Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal. Highway or side streets. Kiss her or keep her. We make choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgiveness. It's the best anyone can do.

  • Olive Snook: Yesterday, a farrier named Lucas Shoemaker was found dead. Trampled.

Emerson Cod: Why should I care about a dude that sells fur coats?

Olive Snook: Not a furrier, a farrier. Heir.

    Emerson Cod: Fair-rier?

Olive Snook: It's a blacksmith. Puts shoes on horses.

Emerson Cod: Don't try to act like that's a word everybody knows.
