This film is Steve's famous work. Throughout Steve’s young comedy movies, they were mostly shoddy, gimmicky, and less humorous. Something required some bloody plots and tear-making practices (such as "A House and Half Wife", "Computer Geek", "Jealous Father-in-law", etc. ). There are also good comedies such as "Fall in Love with Rosanne" and "Scammers Stink More".
There is also a film called "Fantastic Trip", which was recently borrowed by legendary, and a similar theme was made called due date. Both are very far-fetched and very poor.
Look at this Jerk. The Bernadette in TBBT is fascinating. And the heroine Bernadette in this movie may be more in line with the aesthetics of that era. She played a chaste woman who, regardless of worldly ties, fell in love with the silly boy Steve.
The film reveals a simple emotion, reflecting that the viewer is simple-minded and receptive to some positive cues, which is different from the present comedy that needs to contain a lot of bitterness and irony. So the protagonist returns home inexplicably after a series of mysterious experiences.
This film marks the birth of a generation of comedian Steve Martin, but the film itself may not be as good as Leehom Wang's self-directed and self-acted "Love Announcement".
