The filming is really steady, and the whole film has an atmospheric but unassuming sense of stability. The story is not big, but it is as calm and heavy as a big river, portraying the brothers' attitudes towards life. I like Montana's scenery shots and soundtracks, but they are naturally powerful, which fits very well with the stone and religious narrative that my father opened. The fly fishing lens and radio are also comfortable. At the end of the question, you can completely love someone you don't know. It should be a beautiful definition of love. Compliment to Pete who is tender and out of water, the small expressions in the eyes of a few scenes can't be better. Especially the last fishing, how many people miss the boy holding the big fish.

Norman Maclean: The hell with him.

Paul Maclean: Well, I thought we were supposed to help him.

Norman Maclean: How the hell do you help that son of a bitch?

Paul Maclean: By taking him fishing.

Norman Maclean: He doesn't like fishing. He doesn't like Montana and he sure as hell doesn't like me.

Paul Maclean: Well, maybe what he likes is somebody trying to help him.

  • Norman Maclean: I'm in deep trouble.

Paul Maclean: Yep. Want me to come over and protect you?
