On a thunderstorm night, the box monster hurriedly left with a baby.

There is a legend spread in the town of Cheesebridge that the box monster stole a child and ate the child’s father. And the box monsters will steal other people's children.

The town began to implement a curfew, and the Red Hat offered to wipe out all the box monsters for the town residents in exchange for the white hat of the nobles and the right to taste cheese in the tasting room.

Box monsters are actually just some weird little creatures. They are naturally timid. They hide themselves in various packaging boxes every day and come out at night to find some useful things in the things people discard.

The stolen baby eggs in the legend live happily in the underground of the small town with the box monsters. Ten years passed in a blink of an eye.

Due to the capture of the Red Hat, the box monsters are constantly decreasing.

The nobles enjoyed their lives every day, without even considering the suffering of the common people. Even the donations for the hospital study were eventually used by them to make cheese.

One night, the mayor's daughter was with the box monsters and the little boy eggs for the first time. It was discovered that he was not a box monster, but a human child.

Two of the boy’s closest friends were taken away. The boy came to the town dressed up as a human for the first time. An event commemorating the tenth anniversary of the boy’s stolen took place in Cheesebridge. On the stage, the "fashionable" lady in the red hat continued to play the scene where the child was stolen by the box monster and eaten.

The little boy could not accept such a statement. He found the base of the Red Cap.

Red Hat tasted cheese at his base. Everyone knew that he was allergic to cheese, including himself. He still insisted on tasting the cheese that symbolizes nobility. Every time after eating cheese, leeches are needed to reduce swelling.

The little boy rescued his friend and found that the other boxes were working in the Red Hat factory. In the process of dealing with the red cap, the red cap said that he was the stolen little boy back then. This news was also heard by the mayor's daughter who followed the little boy.

Together they fled to the underground habitat of the box monsters. The box monster tells the truth of the year. The little boy's father is an inventor. When he finds out that the box monsters have the same hobbies as him, they become friends. Red Hat asked the inventor to invent the war machine. After he refused, Red Hat kidnapped the inventor. At this time, the box monsters took in the little boy.

They want to convey this news to humans, to the person who is the father. The little girl uses the items collected by the box monsters to dress the little boy more like a human, and teach the little boy high-class etiquette.

They came to the ball together, the little boy couldn't adapt to these etiquettes, and frightened the people at the ball. They can't let the adults understand the message they want to express. Those rules only care about their own cheese.

The red cap continued to hunt down the little boy. After a riot, the little boy temporarily fled to the shelter. The Red Hat's war weapon has been completed. He destroyed the box monsters' residence and captured all the box monsters and the little boy.

The captured little boy met his father. He told the box monsters to leave the box and escape, but the boxes just shook there, and they were all squashed by the machine in the end.

The victorious Red Hat asked the mayor for his white hat, and he got the support of the town residents after eliminating the box monster. The little boy was tied to the machine as the last box monster, and no one could hear the sound of the little boy and the little girl. The moment the little boy is thrown into the stove is the moment when the red hat gets the white hat.

At the juncture of the crisis, box monsters who were not in the box came to the scene. It turned out that they had already escaped from the box that day, and the shaking of the box was the vibration they produced when they fled.

Everyone worked hard to tear down the Red Hat machine. The little boy told him that neither white hat nor cheese can represent you, and he is still persistent. The red hat hijacked the mayor's daughter and forced the mayor to surrender his white hat. The mayor also chose his daughter to give up the white hat at this moment.

In the tasting room, he wore a red hat that symbolized the white hat of supreme power, ready to taste his cheese, the best cheese. After a short delay after swallowing the cheese, the red hat exploded and died.

The town was calm again, and the box monsters also got along with the world of the town residents on the ground.

End credits egg. To stop motion animation. In the film, the two villains inadvertently swept the floor while chatting, discussing whether there would be more time, different time and space, we are controlled, and even the blink of an eye requires them to control. They are very idle, they are hobbies.

The character is too ugly... can't stand it

The first new movie I watched in 2015! ——As a fan who loves animation most, my eyes are a little wet when I see the easter eggs. Thank you all those who have worked hard day and night to create good animation works! ——The story of the film itself doesn’t have too many surprises, but the overall feeling is pretty good, especially the final battle. The first time I saw it was the "demolition" against the villain; as for the final "explosion", I As expected!

The Boxtrolls quotes

  • Archibald Snatcher: When I destroy every last Boxtroll in this town, I shall EARN my white hat, and join you in the Tasting Room.

Lord Portley-Rind: [facetiously] Good Lord! I don't know who should be more terrified: the Boxtrolls or us.

  • Archibald Snatcher: [as Madame Frou-Frou, singing, verse 1] Ten years ago a plot was hatched, Where evil was with cunning matched. Whoever left their doors unlatched, Would find their infant children snatched by Boxtrolls. Ooh, no, Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 2] Trubshaw Senior loved his kid, The same as regular fathers did. If you don't want to share his plight, Make sure that you are locked up tight from Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 3] For this night, baby's dad Trubshaw, Quite forgot to lock the door. And as soon as he began to snore, The Boxtrolls came in to withdraw poor baby! Those vile Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 4] So lock your windows, bolt your doors, or Boxtrolls with their creepy claws, Will take your children in their paws, And drag them down to feed their jaws. Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 5] Mr. Trubshaw went quite wild, When he found out he'd lost his child. He did what any dad would do. He ran off swiftly to pursue those Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 6] Help, help, help me, please, won't you? But the Boxtrolls did what Boxtrolls do. They snatched him up and began to chew, Until there was no residue of Trubshaw's.

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 7] They pulled him down into their nest, Hardly pausing to digest. They left his bones, but ate the rest. Never be a dinner guest of Boxtrolls. Oh, those Boxtrolls!

Archibald Snatcher: [verse 8] So that's the story of the Trubshaw Kid. Don't do what Father Trubshaw did. If you see Boxtrolls don't placate them, Catch them and exterminate them- the Boxtrolls! Kill those Boxtrolls! Kill those Boxtrolls! Kill those Boxtrolls!
