This is a typical vulgar story of a Hong Kong movie in the 1980s. That year, it was popular and righteous. That's it, the killer somehow developed feelings with the beauty, and that's it, the killer somehow believed that a bastard had accepted him as an apprentice, and that's it, the killer finally became the God who punishes the bad guys somehow. Many typical images of Hong Kong killers have emerged in my mind, and they are basically this routine. Nicholas Cage finds it new, and I don't know what the majority of American audiences think. Anyway, watching this kind of story now feels quite silly.
As for the Peng brothers, the suspense movie ghost movie is well made, why do you want to make this movie where love is not like a love shootout? The "Bangkok" in the title may explain some problems. There are spacious roads here, high-end hotels here, exciting nightclubs here, hot beauties here, strange food here, and leisurely cruises here. There is a pious religion here, there is a kind elephant here, and there is extensive democracy here (?), okay, it's obviously a Thailand scenery propaganda film. But, when enjoying the scenery, be careful not to run into the killer.
Nicholas Cage's hairline is getting higher and higher, it looks like wearing a wig no matter how it looks, and the movies he receives are becoming less and less tasteful. Time is not forgiving.
