Maybe you can make a few friends, come to the store often, and entertain them for tea and snacks. Sometimes there are some oolong things, which is also a joy in old age.
It is estimated that a clerk like Manny is more difficult to hire, but you can often post notices to hire people who are willing to take a part-time job, and you may be able to meet all kinds of people.
In fact, in my hometown, there is a similar bookstore like this. The owner usually writes and basks in the sun. If he has a business, he will buy a few books. If there is no business, he will not be too anxious. Every time I go home, I will go there to see, I am envious of that kind of life.
British soap operas feel that they lack the wild imagination of American soap operas. The laughs are all kind of very British nonsense. There will always be the shadow of Mr. Bean in it. It is the characters that make you laugh, not the plot that makes you laugh. This is a shortcoming.
But the first part is still very easy to watch, so I continue to watch the second part.
