1. When Gordon came to the hospital for the first time, he saw the chair strapped in the corridor and slowly felt Simon's call to him. "Hello, Gordon". This was before he killed his wife and daughter on Friday. (Simon’s voice was expressed in Session 9, and Simon spoke to him several times later.)
2. On the Friday after getting the work contract on Friday, we saw Gordon with flowers and sundries in the car. Looking at the wife outside our house, we can clearly see that there is a bottle of peanut butter in the bag. This bottle of peanut butter later appeared after Hank found the treasure in the basement, and was picked up by Hank from the ground and looked at it. (The director told us where Hank went later)
3. After Gordon killed the family on that Friday, his personality was split, which means that he didn't know that he had killed people during the day. Also, he hasn't been home since the fight and has been in the hospital.
4. The wealth that Hank found was in the incinerator, so disgusting.
5. Phil really called Amy. He really believed the fact that Hank went to Hawaii.
6. When Mike was listening to the recording, he cut to the cemetery, and Gordon was beside Mary's cemetery.
7. Another Friday, Craig came to meet Hank's class. Before that, Jeff, Mike and Phil had been killed by Gordon, except that Hank was put to death. Like Mary, Gordon's memory is selective. After killing Craig, he forgot the fact of the murder and began to call home.
There is no qualitative definition for Simon in this film. Whether he is an independent individual or a split personality, I personally think that it does not affect the feeling of watching. But Simon's step-by-step induction of Gordon is more like an influential individual occupying a fragile soul. As Simon said at the end, I live in the weak and wounded, Doc.
