The director makes extensive use of depth-of-field lenses to create a horrible atmosphere and hint at the development of the plot. For example, the farewell between Doris and Lina's boyfriend at home, the foreground is a close-up of Doris's face in real focus, and Lina's boyfriend opens the door in the background. From here we can see that the expressionless Doris has issued a warning to Lina's boyfriend-he will be hanged again!
There are also a series of lens language to serve the plot. For example, Doris sees the revolving scene of the divination board her mother bought home, suggesting that she will be the first victim.
The image of the evil spirit portrayed in the film is much better than the appearance of the entity. In such a cruel open ending, what is buried is the director's objective and fair sequel ambition.
