The impression of witches is either an extremely beautiful kind witch who specializes in protecting people, or an extremely ugly witch who specializes in eating children's brains. Obviously, the movie version and the TV drama version respectively embody both images of witches. Another weird thing is that Mrs. Corte’s elves are golden monkeys. Why did they become golden monkeys in the drama version? Anyway, it’s all made on a computer. Technically, there’s nothing more difficult. So the director is so neat to distinguish it from the movie version? Then you can redesign your image yourself. It is easier to get a golden monkey, but isn't this bullying the Western audience?
Speaking of Lord Asriel, choosing a beauty shows that this drama has spent a lot of money, but the performance of Yimei is still that overexertion, and the lines are quite strange. The line that everyone shouted at Roger on the hot air balloon was very good. In particular, it feels inexplicable. First of all, what is the strength to compare with a kid? Hot air balloon pilot Li's role positioning is also not very good. The whole slick appearance is more like a ranger than he still likes to play in the movie version.
The gypsy mother who lost her child failed both in casting and role positioning. She didn't have the brave and firm performance of the original mother at all. Instead, she looked like a selfish woman who made trouble out of nowhere and dragged the entire tribe into the water for her own children. It is natural for a child to lose his mother and be anxious, but it does not mean that you have to lose your mind. There are such people in reality, but it is difficult for such people to get a lot of sympathy. It is doomed that this role will not be pleasing in the TV series. In particular, this role is too ugly. I understand that Britain is sparsely populated, but at any rate it is an open country that brings together people from all over the world.
