I downloaded this movie because I really liked the previously watched "The Inside Story" starring Al Pacino and Russell Crowe. I was moved by this real event and the wonderful performances of the two movie stars.
I saw "Thirteen Days of Explosion" in the movie heaven and downloaded it without seeing the plot introduction.
As a president, the pressure is really great. Although he has a lot of power, he has to fight wits and courage with the heads of other countries, and he has to deal with his own men. There were many militants under Kennedy. They wanted to go to war again and again, and Kennedy and his two assistants resolved it time and time again.
The Bay of Pigs incident that occurred before the Cuban Missile Crisis allowed the United States to push Cuba toward the Soviet Union instead of overthrowing the Castro regime. The missiles deployed by the US military in Turkey and other places have a deterrent effect on the Soviet Union. Therefore, the Soviet Union also secretly deployed medium-range missiles in Cuba, in an attempt to reverse the decline strategically. The U.S. U-2 scouts took pictures of the missile base. The U.S. government was in a panic. The generals of the Navy and Air Force all advocated air strikes on Cuban missile bases. However, Kennedy considered a series of consequences of air strikes and may trigger a third time. World War, and nuclear weapons will be used this time. Humans cannot escape a great catastrophe?
The president's actor is more handsome than the historical Kennedy, and so is the president's wife. Kevin Costner is not too suitable for the role of the president's special assistant, but he prefers his role as a teacher in "Assassination of Kennedy" and "McFarlane", and he has better control. The director of this film is still very good at the compactness of the plot, although it is a historical drama, it does not make people feel boring. It also has something to do with my own movie-watching mentality. I am about to enter the new year, and I am more interested in this kind of movies that are close to real life.
