This failed DC movie was forgotten by everyone

If it weren’t for a chance to turn over an old magazine, I really don’t remember this DC comic film from 10 years ago--Jonah Hex (2010), the hero of the West. I seem to have never heard of this one. Movies, even in recent years, some people have been counting DC movies, there are always DC fans and Marvel fans who use "bad movies to attack" each other, and they have never mentioned just a few words about the film. It's weird.

The film is starring Thanos, he looks terrifying, half of his face is burned, similar to the western version of the "double-faced man". The big villain is played by John Malkovich. It can be seen that he didn't spend much time and worked professionally throughout the performance.

Megan Fox wears dirty and revealing clothes in the film and sweats all over. He plays a very powerful woman who stumbled in the West. He also staged an intimate scene with Thanos, but the screen is too cult!! Thanos’ disfigurement Face-the mouth is crooked on one side, and she's going to get rid of her mouth too!

This "Scarface Cowboy" is a relatively popular comic book by DC in the 1970s. The protagonist Jonah Hacks is a bounty hunter, but he can channel the dead and let the dead tell him clues. There seems to be nothing except this. Special skills. In addition to being bad, Markovic has no tricks, so although many mainland audiences have watched this movie, they don't know it is a comic book. Warner didn't know what his calculations were, but from the huge corner of the DC Universe, he picked out such a material that was not very powerful and could not establish contact with other Super Premiers to make the movie. So failure is inevitable.

This movie can now be found on all major video sites. From today's perspective, I don't think it's too bad. First of all, it is very well-made. It costs real money and silver at first glance. It has a strong steampunk style, and it seems that there are many real scenes. Secondly, the length is short, only 80 minutes, so the plot is compact and there is no nonsense. Finally, it is full of cult taste, with extremely high color saturation, noisy heavy metal soundtrack, unrelenting character and ironic lines, and some passages are very scary (such as the section where the Indian saves the male protagonist, the special effects are very Okay, and very scary) are refreshing (a bit like "Mad Max").

It is said that the film was almost unfinished due to insufficient production funds. Moreover, the director arbitrarily changed the script, so that comic fans did not buy it. The only super power of Jonah Hacks mentioned above in the film-talking to the dead, is also not in the comic book. Therefore, the box office after the film was released was very poor, and the world only received more than 10 million US dollars, which is a disaster.

By the way, Magneto played a cameo in the film. According to him, he created this character in accordance with Kubrick's role in "A Clockwork Orange." It's a pity that he was also very weak. He was knocked down by Thanos twice and killed twice.

I hope everyone will watch this forgotten DC movie on the weekend. I opened the barrage and found that most of the audience was still applauded. They mistakenly thought it was a Western movie and said that the second half of it became fantasy, which is not very good. . Whatever, the intersection of Thanos, Magneto, and Transformers, you can only see it in this rare cult comic movie!

Jonah Hex quotes

  • Jeb Turnbull: You disobeyed a direct order.

Jonah Hex: To burn down a hospital. Your father was gonna kill all those people, just to make a point. I couldn't stand for that. I'm surprised you could.

Jeb Turnbull: He was our commanding officer, he was my father! I didn't have a choice.

    Jonah Hex: Neither did I.

  • Jeb Turnbull: I've been watching you, and I've been watching him, and I gotta tell you, it's getting real hard to tell the difference between you.

Jonah Hex: Your father is a monster, you hear me?

Jeb Turnbull: And you ain't? From where I sit, you're just two men bent on murdering people to make your own pain go away. Life like that, it sounds a hell of a lot like being damned.
