A sports action film. I don't think I've ever been so excited and nervous in a sports film, and it is about exactly what I love. Not what happens on the field, but the things off the filed about sport. There is great character development, and it is an emotional roller coaster that you have to take with Sonny. I think the writer for this film is a genius, and knows how to meddle with the feelings of a sports fan. From the worst draft possible, to getting the very most out of it. Have to say though, if I am the owner I would still be pretty pissed at the decision making process. Thank you for reminding me why I am New York doing what I am doing.

The exceptionally good soundtrack makes the whole work full of suspense and positive energy. It tells the story of a scout and draft day very attractively. The director's rhythm control is quite effective, but it is a pity that Costner has lost the football movie feel of the year.

Coach Penn: Yeah, they do. They win.
