This is a film of our age. A film that won four Oscars including Best Picture in the second year (1981). A film with English classicism. The greatest sports movie in history. An inspirational movie about ideals and struggles, beliefs and even beliefs. A movie that not many people have watched completely but almost no one has never been moved by its theme music.
In this age of unbelief or loss of faith, in this era when idealism is seen as naive and jokes, in this era when there are no ideals without much struggle, one person quietly watched "War of Fire" in the middle of the night. "Car" is nothing more than a kind of baptism.
This is just the story of two young British men who finally won the 100m and 400m champions of the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. One was to make the Jews proud in front of the world, and the other was to live up to the speed God gave to their legs. Their victory was Victory in sports competitions is even more a victory of will, a victory of faith, and a victory of faith. In fact, the reason why I like sports and football is because I feel that Sports is a kind of spirit. Games are never just about physical collision and emotional catharsis, but also a contest of will.
In this movie, ideals and beliefs are clearly pulled back from the lens, and everyone can see what effect their existence has on people's lives and lives. I have always believed that people can’t live without ideals, although you don’t need to be idealistic; people are best to have some beliefs. Of course, you can also completely distrust religion or political parties. After all, belief can be a lot of metaphysical things, such as a belief. A kind of love, even believing in a true self. So although there are always sayings like marriage is the grave of love and reality is the ideal funeral, I still insist on my point of view, and I still struggle for my ideals and remain committed to it.

  • Harold M. Abrahams: Gentlemen, you yearn for victory just as I do. But achieved with the apparent effortlessness of gods. Yours are the archaic values of the prep-school playground. You deceive no one but yourselves. I believe in the pursuit of excellence - and I'll carry the future with me.

  • Lord Birkenhead: You Americans have a number of men who are rated as world-beaters; but, this contest is in Europe, not in the rarefied climes of the United States.
