Post-production ruined

As another independent film made at the Sundance Film Festival, the ambition and sincerity of "Perfect Feeling" can be seen. However, as far as the movie itself is concerned, it failed a lot. Like an allegorical story, the film tells that people all over the world are facing an unknown disease, and all feelings are lost one by one. How can two people continue to love each other in such apocalyptic days? Does love still matter when the end comes? The tone of the story is not real enough, and the effect is not fictional. It's like the dilemma of "Perfect Feeling", but a good idea breaks the movie. The heroes and heroines of "Perfect Feeling", Ivan and Eva, are both absolutely charming people. It should be unforgettable for them to interpret the love at the end of the day. Who knows that the movie is not strong in characterizing, it is obviously a passionate love, but it was filmed by the director as "anyway, the world is like this, you guys can make ends meet and live a life" casually. Even the love of the doomsday is not touching, the movie naturally cannot touch people's hearts. What's more, there are a lot of narrations from time to time, which is almost completely explained. Love, of course, is important, but the movie can’t stand it, and even uses narration to explain the meaning of all this to the audience, and then uncover the theme of “love is the most precious” in front of people. Doesn't this despise the audience's understanding? So a good theme, finally reduced to a nuisance, nowhere to put it. The story is good, the script is good but the production is not strong

Michael: I don't know what the fuck we should call it.

  • Michael: Now, you can invite me back to your place.

Susan: Don't know if I will.

Susan: Well, you-you can just start walking home... and I'll follow you.

[Susan smiles and starts walking. Michael smiles and follows. Susan stops, looks back, sees Michael following and laughs. Michael also laughs]
