The 8th Black Eye Film Festival opened earlier in this special year. The first viewing day brought us "Sexy Beast" by British director Jonathan Glazer. The film was very Mediterranean at the beginning, very suitable for the time node of our non-mainstream film festival that opened in the summer. As an opening snack, it basically completed his role as the opening film with the title and the beginning of the film. With the Mediterranean style at the beginning and the title, I thought this film will take the route of tropical style and sexy party (this is what we are especially looking forward to seeing). However, the following plot clearly proves that the tonality of the selection of the Black Eye Film Festival is destined to not be so cute and boring. The movie "Emotion" is a non-mainstream gangster film that is anti-climax. The title "Sexy Beast" is not the "sexy beast" you take for granted, but "sexy and the beast", or "not sexy at all. Once a beast". The film uses a large length to describe the story of how the thief Qianjiangyang, who was washing his hands in an enamel basin, was suffocated and dragged into the water. The gangster Ben Kingsley performed unrestrainedly and impressively. The story deliberately focused on how to be pulled into the water. The arrangement was also very interesting. The tension was created well, and it reminded me of the "Four Signatures" in the Sherlock Holmes collection. The charm of the two actresses is still there, and they are also bright in the film. But generally speaking, if it is recommended, I would recommend another film "Rebirth" by Glazer. The hors d’oeuvres performed well, and the cool and refreshing taste was also very good as a primer for later films. Why can’t you take cucumbers as a top dish? After all, they didn’t put sesame sauce on them, but ordered a few drops of mustard oil for you...
