In terms of style, I actually feel that this drama is a bit British. A little bit like the representatives of all kinds of characters in The Office, and then formed in this family-I think the overall situation is full of laughter, very comedy, if it is considered a serious drama, I feel that I have completely missed the painstaking effort of the screenwriter.
Everyone is in a stereotype, a stepmother full of scheming, Greg who is offline, Tom who is a little citizen mentality, and of course his brother Roman, and Shiv who is completely different. Watching Tom’s performance, seeing that he has no skills at all, but he hasn’t understood how to pretend to be anxious to get recognized. It’s very similar to the main manager character in The Office. The more he wants to perform, the worse he is. The more funny and beautiful. Another similar role is Conor. He clearly didn’t accomplish anything. Even the most basic intimacy needs to be managed with money. He is particularly insecure and lacks love. He keeps saying that he is a buddha, but he is in a state of anxiety that he can’t let go of anything. It's really funny. There are some insignificant characters, such as the psychotherapist in Conor's house, who was instigated to jump into the swimming pool and the pool was too shallow and he fell and fell into disrespectful plots. They are all kind of funny when they see someone who is pretending to fall. In contrast, I think the character of Logan is mediocre and mediocre, and it shows that he is actually very ruthless, even his grandson is in a state of speaking badly at each other, which is a little bit too much.
In fact, my favorite in this drama is Kendall. To be honest, when I first started, I thought he was just like everyone else. It’s pathetic, but in fact, after seeing it, I think he is the first. In fact, he still has some courage and business. Skills, for example, he called into the board of directors to explain why he wanted to impeach his dad. Second, he is actually very insecure and self-confident. Sometimes he looks forward to others' affirmation in his eyes, and always encourages himself to say that you can do this, and his acting skills are quite good. Third, if you consider that he is the second generation of super rich, in fact, he is still considered decent, especially when compared with his younger brothers and sisters. This plot is too unfriendly to him, or that is his personality-no matter how hard he works, no matter how well he performs, everything will be impossible to him.
In short, I think the black comedy component of this drama is very entertaining, the plot develops fast, there is tension, and the richness of this component is in it, it is very watchable. One of the most surprising new dramas this year, the only regret is-how come there are only 10 episodes!
