The battle of the world in my eyes

The World War between Spielberg and Tom Cruise is now in theaters in China. Many film critics gave this film no more than anticlimactic, bloody horror and so on. I almost didn't even watch this film because of these film reviews. Fortunately, the laboratory watched the film at the Saturday academic symposium three weeks ago, and I "have to" watch it. Although the teacher still had a disdainful attitude, the students also made a lot of criticism. My first feeling was, "If you want to know the taste of pears, you have to taste it yourself." It would be a shame if you missed this film because of those film reviews.

My evaluation of this film is that it can be discussed with last year's mechanical public enemy. Both are science fiction films with profound significance. If you taste it with a certain interest, instead of using a faulty attitude, you can naturally see the interesting aspects of the film. I've been watching it for so long, and I don't want to write a comment anymore. But when I saw the introduction on the TV today, I heard the confusing comments at the end of the anticlimax again. One thing is certain is that film critics in the media are basically copying each other...

Why "Snake Tail"

If you are a careful person, you will definitely notice such a plot. After the young daughter Rachel got a thorn in her hand, she insisted not to let her father handle it for him. At first glance, I just thought that this paragraph was meant to show that Jay's irresponsibility in life as a father caused the estrangement in the relationship between father and daughter, as well as Rachel's strength and independence. However, at the end of the film, after the aliens were defeated "confusedly", they suddenly realized the importance of this plot. This small detailed paragraph actually points out the most important theme of the entire film.

When reviewing it, please remember a conversation between Rachel and Jay:
J- will be infected
R- will not be
J- will be infected
R- just won’t be
J- when it is almost done, my body will It squeezed out.
R- Squeeze it out?
J- I like this, the magazine says.

The alien invader is like the thorn, piercing into the environment of the earth. Of course there will be pain and some inflammation, but our body will "squeeze" this thorn out. The failure of aliens is precisely because of this truth. Since the beginning of the beginning, this ending has been paved. Why are there so many people exclaiming the abrupt end of the film?

It's called "War of the World".

Many people I know even question the title, "What is called "War of the World"?" It seems to be far from what they thought. There is no world-wide war, and there is no imaginary expression of the people and troops of all countries. At most, the Japanese said two sentences.

We should note that the world in the film has surpassed the world in the conventional sense for all of us. This is a question of scale. Change the scale to measure and think. This world is not a human world. Every species on the earth is a part of the world. In this broad sense of the world, it was all the species of the entire "world" that united to fight the invaders and finally defeated the aliens.

This world war is much larger than the first and second world wars in terms of scale and meaning.

Not "tiny" but "great".

Many people watched the film and expressed such feelings that human beings are too small. Yes, the proud human beings have exposed how much fragility and ugliness in front of aliens. It's as easy to be killed and played like an ant.

Do you remember the sentence at the end of the movie?

Because the smallest creatures God created on this planet infected them...
because of the humanity and the right to survive in the biosphere of this planet in exchange for countless human deaths...
and this right helps us fight all challenges because we live or die. It all makes sense... (no death, no life in vain)

Humans and any creatures on the earth are the result of constant competition and evolution. In the environment of the earth, these species, including humans, must be superior. The aliens thought that they could easily destroy us, but they were defeated by the entire biological world and the environment.

In the environment of the earth, all living entities are small. But the entire biological population is great. They have survived hardships, survived the harsh choices of nature, and continue to evolve. Why should we underestimate ourselves.

Of course, human beings did not seem to have played a decisive role in the film, but it was like China in World War II, because of the backwardness of equipment and economy, we did not have a particularly big record against Japan. But we have consumed the enemy's strength very well, dragged the enemy's footsteps, and distracted the enemy's attention. Makes the Japanese unable to withdraw to estimate the war against the United States. In the film, the aliens also set their sights on humans first, and when they meant that they could gain control by eliminating humans, he was defeated by other forces.

"System" and "Balance" The

entire global village is like a system, maintaining a dynamic balance within the system. Aliens are invaders from outside the system. There are only two ways for them to integrate into the system through dynamic balance, or be driven away or eliminated by the system's willingness to balance. This is more complicated in theory, and I am not an expert in this area either. That's probably what I meant.

Theory of Evolution and Random Trial and Error The

whole film reflects the viewpoint of "random trial and error". Random trial and error is a description of the theory of evolutionism in academia. The theory of evolution believes that evolution is a process of constant trial and error. Only when the trial is right can we go further. The chemical process from inanimate to living is the result of random and accidental collisions of material molecules.

As mentioned earlier, all species on the earth have evolved continuously in this environment. They also interact with each other to achieve a dynamic balance. In the process of trial and error, they randomly find the right direction. Although this process is random in detail, there is a certain inevitability in the macro and long-term perspective.

Aliens evolve by trial and error in an environment different from the Earth, and they are unfamiliar with the Earth's environment. They have not passed the test and restriction of the earth's environment, so even though they are highly civilized, they are a mistake on the earth and can only die.

But I also see that not only biological evolution, but also scientific and technological development is also a process of random trial and error. We noticed a detail in the discussion after the film ended. The aliens’ probes were sensed by visible light, and they even had to turn on the lights. Some students said why not use infrared sensors, ha, we might as well imagine, if people do not encounter problems that cannot be solved in visible light sensors, can they think of using infrared sensors? Try to make mistakes before you can change your direction to find other breakthroughs.

This again reflects two problems. Under what circumstances should the direction of the breakthrough be changed when judging that this is a mistake; after changing the direction of the breakthrough, if you try and make a mistake again, do you have to try and make another trial and error in the wrong direction? I personally think that everything is random... It's a long way to go, and the digression of

human nature's discussion

film reflects the most true aspect of human nature. Different performances in the face of death threats are quite different. Hot-blooded young people should go to fight, mature men should try their best to take care of their families; the fragile people are flustered, and the strong people are also hysterical; the public is disorderly, the soldiers have strict discipline and fearlessness. Wait, wait, I think there are many things worth thinking about. If I really want to mention human nature, I'm too shallow to comment.

The nature and species diversity

film clearly expresses this concept, the necessity of biodiversity and the interdependence of nature. If the biological species is single, for example, there are only humans on the earth, then aliens will come and basically be over, and the diversity makes the entire biosphere more bearable. Even if human beings themselves have to maintain diversity, my teacher put forward a point that feels very meaningful. One of the biggest shortcomings of human cloning is that there is not enough diversity. Once there is a disease, all people will basically be infected, and people with different genes have different resistance to disease. There should be survivors in groups of multiple genes.

Protecting nature and protecting the diversity of species is indeed not only a kindness, but also because of the needs of human survival.

In addition to the big-name stars, big scenes, and bloody killings, the highlights of this film are more worthy of thinking and digging.

I wrote this first, I think there are still some things I haven't dug out, and I've read it for a long time, and I don't remember clearly. If you write something wrong, please forgive me, and you are welcome to discuss the problem.

It's a good film. It looks like Spielberg's work at first glance. The actors are few and refined, and they are all elites.
