Greed and arrogance and ignorance are more terrible than sharks

The movie "Jaws" was produced in 1975. It was the first film in film history to have a box office of more than $1E. Bruce (the name of the Great White Shark in the film) is also 31 years old. For this reason, last year, Edgartown, a coastal town in Massachusetts, USA, ushered in the first "Great White Shark Festival" in "Martha's Vineyard". This commercial disaster thriller that shocked all viewers with amazing special effects at the time. Sharks left an indelible impression on people. After the release, many resort beaches in the United States were once deserted and people were caught by great white sharks. Frightened, the shocking effect is beyond words, even this Steven Spielberg's famous work has long been characterized as a horror film, it also set off the "third frenzy" of American disaster films.
Looking at the great white shark 30 years ago from today’s perspective, the stunts are naturally indistinguishable. It’s no wonder that when I watch the movie recently, I can hardly find the feeling of horror. The stunts seem simple. Please note that I only used the word simple. Rather than rough or other adjectives, because although it is simple, it is not rough and does not make people feel uncomfortable. The plot of the whole movie is compact and powerful, and the picture is very smooth. It is not because it is a work 30 years ago. It seemed awkward, which made me admire. To know that we have already experienced countless stunt blockbusters today, we can fully imagine how people were dumbfounded at the time, and the silent scene in the dark theater, which is enough to prove it. The impact of "Jaws" on people's nerves at that time was so strong and fierce that the shark energy struck for a while! It makes people excited, irritating, scared, screaming, and still reluctant to give up, and they still talk about it. Therefore, I am also ashamed of some of our domestic special effects movies.
The story is very simple. A rare great white shark came to the bay of the holiday beach to eat people. A beauty and a little boy have died for this. The government refused to close the bathing beach for the town’s precious tourism income in a year. The sheriff shut up and concealed the truth out of conscience. People were still playing in the sea without knowing that the danger was around them. Sheriff Brown was heartbroken but could not do anything about it. This just reflects the greed of the government and human nature. Greedy brothers are selfish and indifferent. In the face of money and interests, ordinary people's lives seem so weak and helpless. No one will care about you, and those who care about you will also. It may not protect you. Although helpless, American citizens have distinct likes and dislikes, as evidenced by the fact that the bereaved wife in the film slapped Sheriff Brown severely, even in the United States in the 1970s. This lady is right. I have no objection to pursuing interests, but you can't ignore life because of this, even if he is ordinary like a drop of water and weak like a grass. The sheriff was silent, because he had the same view of right and wrong, he had no reason, and no strength to fight back, even though he was 10 times stronger than the wife, and he had a group of patrol officers under him. And the Mayor Harry accepted all this silently, because he also had a view of right and wrong, and what struck me the most was that Harry did not hesitate to say to the sheriff: "I'm sorry, Brown, you are not wrong, they You are wrong." Although they are hateful, they are also very cute. Just imagine which ZG official can apologize for his mistakes (except when confronted)? Alas, you can be greedy, selfish, and indifferent, but you can’t fail to be honest.
Quint is a fish-catcher in the small town. He is arrogant and arrogant. He thinks that I am the first in the world. Killing sharks is a matter of hand, effortlessly. He took people out to sea and killed a little tiger shark. The great white shark is still here, the nightmare is still there, and he slaps his face severely. As a result, the typical American-style individual heroism elements began to appear. The sheriff, Quint and oceanographer Martin went out to catch sharks, and at Quint’s insistence, they only drove a small and medium-sized fishing boat, arrogantly letting Quint. Loss of reason and ignorance made him wrong. He only blindly believed in his experience and ability. When the great white shark could still dive into the deep sea with three floating buckets, he realized what a terrible monster he was facing. . When the giant shark started to attack the fishing boat and his feet touched the teeth of the great white shark, I think he must have real fear and regret, but his arrogance and ignorance were enough to kill him. In fact, there is no panoramic shot of great white sharks in the whole movie. The director only creates a dignified and tense atmosphere through the deterrent shark dorsal fin and sudden attack rhythm, so that the movie always maintains a high degree of suspense and excitement. The monster cannot run rampant. It must die. This is the voice of the people and the need of the society. Sheriff Brown was finally lucky enough to hit the oxygen tank. The huge explosion tore the shark to pieces. The shark died and the people were saved. The world is peaceful, and heroes are finally born (although they are not so brave and tall:))!
This ending is really grassy for Yuan Jia. This is where I feel that the film is top-heavy. I think Mr. Spielberg must be tired of life at sea. The facts have also proved that the filming process was extremely unsuccessful. Manipulating the "Great White Shark" with a mechanical device as a skeleton and covered with shark skin made of rubber allowed them to practice for several weeks. For months, they were fed up with the weeping noise from the internal air compressor in order to imitate the "Great White Shark". They once thought that once the last shot was taken, they would throw Spielberg off the boat. . It was quite a while after the filming that Spielberg woke up, feeling that his nerves seemed to have just received an electric shock, so he even vowed never to go to filming locations again. It is said that Spielberg, who was born to hate water, left his first assistant to complete the final work, and he escaped in a small boat by himself. As the ship drifted away, he stood on the ship and imitated General MacArthur and announced: "I won't come back." So, I think the first assistant at the time must also want to escape. :)
The soundtrack of the film was personally written by the famous Hollywood soundtrack master John Williams. Spielberg wanted to use a kind of soothing music to alleviate the brutality in the film, perhaps with a beautiful piano piece to express the great white shark. But the composer finally matched "Jaws" with a gloomy tune in the style of Bernard Herman, and then changed it roughly, especially in reflecting the main theme of the shark, and used some The music composed by Stravinsky for the performance of dinosaurs in the scene of "A Celebration of Spring" in the Disney film "Fantasia" has also made the music of "Jaws" one of the most exciting music in movie music.
From today's perspective, "Jaws" is a very good film. From the perspective of 30 years ago, "Jaws" is definitely a classic. After 30 years, how can it be done if it is not a classic? In this film, Spielberg also showed his outstanding director talent. Whether it is the structure of the arrangement or the ease of retraction, the film always narrates in a smooth way, and it also helps him to continue directing "Zhu Zhu" in the future. "Luo Ji Park" and other sci-fi giants laid a solid foundation. That year, Spielberg was 29 years old.
