I believe in the power of reason-watching

Watching the film "Polar Evil Spirit" gave me an experience that in the face of the unknown and fatal fear, people are divided into those who are not confident and those who are blindly confident. In this extreme situation, everyone feels overwhelmed, confused, miserable, angry.

Maybe there are some previous experiences that can be used, but when you realize that you are just a small human being, and faced with so many uncertainties, how can you get so much courage to implement your plan without hesitation and firmness. Even if you are willing to try two steps to test the water yourself, you can't convince most people, but this kind of challenge to the impossible must get the support of others, in order to gather more strength to get into this kind of predicament , there is no power that can break the stalemate.

The captain in the film is always very firm, which can be explained as his religious beliefs, and he often encourages his subordinates like a preacher, believing that an omniscient and almighty God can guide him. Under this authoritative management, he is also a very charismatic leader, and under the influence of the religious atmosphere, most people can be closely united by his side. But it was of no use, and he soon died of his own blind confidence.

The empiricists put forward some ideas according to their own analysis, but their appeal is not enough, and they cannot make their suggestions seem simple and reliable, easy to act, and naturally they cannot make those weaker people follow them. Weak people are more willing to ask God to forgive them. The power of human innate sensibility is greater than the power of reason. Under the blessing of fear, people will become more stubborn. Ordinary people do not have the confidence to overcome the power far beyond their ability.

At present, I am still an empiricist, and I understand that religion has a certain soothing effect on people’s hearts, but since I was educated in materialism since I was a child, I have always been a satirical and critical attitude towards religion, so it is difficult for me to fundamentally become a believer. .

In addition, what I pursue is a kind of truth, and truth makes people painful, but only truth can make people grow and eventually become a butterfly. Various religions will preach that as a human being, there are all kinds of shortcomings, and this statement is heard so many times that human beings really feel a strong inferiority complex at some point. But you can't believe what they say. Of course you have shortcomings, but you are a rational person. It doesn't matter if you have shortcomings. The important thing is that you have to control your behavior. If you do something wrong, and if this wrong has an impact on others, you are the one who is guilty. Otherwise, where does the sin come from?

Maybe in the future I will find it more convenient to be a believer on the path of growth, but so far I don't plan to give my mind to God, I prefer to let myself think, I believe in the power of reason.
