"Polar Evil" The evil spirit of human nature

Personally, I feel that this is a work that describes human nature. In the play, Francis and his party were trapped in the ice sheet by the frozen sea when they crossed the Arctic in search of the Northwest Passage to China. In the harsh polar environment, the Tunbak (the legendary monster) always threatens their lives. Time has passed, and winter has come to spring, but the sea ice shows no sign of thawing. They not only have to face the attack of monsters, but also face the threat of food shortage and the leakage of lead in cans. In this environment, human nature begins to become ugly, betrayal, deceit, murder and abandonment surround them all the time like evil spirits... In addition, the style of the play is cold and gloomy, and most of the scenes are white on the ice sheet. The polar night that is unique to the polar regions shown in the play, the aurora is the beauty that we yearn for but cannot touch.
