Four flying flamingos

There was a movie on Wednesday night, titled "American Animals."

The first feeling is that it is very absurd, or it may be because of different regions. After reading it, I felt that even in European and American countries, such a thing would not happen, but it did happen.

The plot is like, four friends who play very well. A sports students B art students C accounting students D fitness experts, small entrepreneurs, wealthy family.

B saw a famous painting in the library one day and was very surprised, how could someone paint such a great painting. I liked it very much, I asked again, this painting is worth 80 million, and I went back and told A the news. After thinking about it, A found that this was an opportunity. After all, the gatekeeper of the library was only an aunt.

A and B deeply feel that it is very easy to loot the painting, but there are not enough manpower. At least two more people are needed, so I found C and D. Then began the robbery, B looked at the wind, A and C entered the library and robbed, D was the driver.

The first time I was very nervous, I didn't get the painting, but I picked up two ancient books, which can also be exchanged for some money. Following that, news was exposed, A and B swaggered to the appraisal agency for valuation, and left B's personal mobile phone number.

So, it wasn't long before he was arrested and jailed for seven years.

Nearly two hours into the movie, it was absurd and incomprehensible, and until the last moment of the movie, this feeling was still very strong.

Especially when C and D were invited to join the team, C was a student majoring in accounting, and he studied very well. His dream was to work in the FBI. Can those who want to work in the judiciary not understand the law?

D is very successful. He started a company at the age of 12 and owned real estate at the age of 16. His father is also a very successful businessman.

Two people who were already very good, why did they join this operation.

Shouldn't it be just because the action is easy?

Want to be recognized? Thrill seekers? Want to change your life instantly?

To change his own life is the slogan that A has been shouting all the time. B, who was once awakened by the warmth of his family, was still pulled back by A's slogan.

That's where A excels, he's the facilitator of the whole plan. The so-called negotiation, looking for a new home, painting and books can be realized after getting them, etc. It is difficult to distinguish the true from the false.

The core figures of the whole plan are very extreme, and they are bound to carry out the activities to the end.

A heaven, a hell? I do not think so.

If B didn't tell A about the painting, A would still do something out of the ordinary.

A's parents divorced, and when he was 5 years old, he worked hard to enter the sports team, but he did not know the reason. It's very disappointing to talk about it, disappointment in the divorce of his parents, disappointment in school, disappointment in teachers, disappointment in where he lives.

This plan may be the only thing he thinks will not be disappointed.

So he did, he kept tying BCD with a very simple, life-changing and disappointing friendship in his eyes, and finally completed his plan.

Of course, I don’t know what American universities look like, nor do they know what their culture looks like. Perhaps seeking excitement or wanting to change their lives is worth doing and taking risks in their eyes.

At the end of the film, the librarian auntie is very pointy and informs: their behavior is selfish and incomprehensible, it is very dangerous to cross the red line of the law to do something, and if you want to change your life, you must work hard.

Very positive energy?

But if there is no A, the whole team and the whole plan will not exist.

What if A's home environment is warm and sunny?

American Animals quotes

  • The Real Spencer Reinhard: Van Gogh ended up killing himself. Monet went blind. I felt like they understood something more about life that I wasn't getting to experience. Art has to be about more than just, "My life is great and I'm really good at drawing."

  • Warren Lipka: Seriously, man, fuck fraternities. The reason to be a part of that is so one day you can walk in the door of an office you never wanna go in to see a guy you never wanna meet, on the hopes that he might give you a job you never wanna fucking do.
