"The Story of Kaguya Princess" is adapted from Japan's oldest literary work , "The Story of Bamboo Tree" . It was produced by Studio Ghibli. After three years of proposal and five years of production, it cost 5.15 billion yen to complete, but even half the cost. Did not take it back.
