Last night, the circle of friends was swiped by various COS costumes for Halloween. Except for the various COS photos of "female friends" (boys didn't seem to see much), the most amazing is probably the costumes of White Snake and Green Snake. Well, this is Chinese style.
And today is the real Halloween. There's also a new movie, "The Tick House," in theaters, apparently for Halloween.
Because I arrived at the movie theater ten minutes earlier, the theater at this location was very deserted. One person was leaning against the corner near the ticket machine, staring at the actor posters posted on the locker in a daze. Counting carefully, there were 20 actors, Hepburn, Leslie Cheung, Mei Lanfang, Nicolas Cage, Stallone, Schwarzenegger...
A girl quickly passed by me and walked towards the ticket machine. She was about 165 cm tall and had long hair. She seemed to have just arrived after get off work. I tried to take a peek at the screen of the ticket machine, but I couldn't see the movie name.
When I entered the theater at the last minute, the ticket inspector tore off the ticket stub, said Hall 5, and went straight and turned right.
There weren't many people watching the scene. There was only one girl sitting in the entire movie hall. People who may be lonely should be reduced to the movie theater. I comforted myself like this. Sure enough, it was the girl who collected the tickets. She was a little surprised when she saw me coming over, and I was sitting diagonally across from her in front of her, a little embarrassed. Are the two of us watching this movie? Shall I change my seat and sit next to her?
After the noisy advertisement, the lights were turned off, the villain with the safety escape indicator turned green, and the movie started, and my mind was still a little blank. To go or not to go, became a question.
Two minutes later, four boys came in and sat in the back row of me. It was the right time and place.
The movie "Tick-tock House" is a dark adult fairy tale. On the surface, it is a little boy's growth fairy tale, but at its core is an anti-war movie.
This style is somewhat similar to Tim Burton's "Miss Pey's Fantasy Castle", but it is far less than the latter, with a bad story, boring characters, no novelty inherent in fairy tales, and no good storytelling.
There is actually a terrifying prototype behind every strange character in "Miss Pei's Fantasy Castle". For example, the conjoined twins in the film are from the work of Joseph Mengele, a doctor known as the Angel of Death during World War II. That is, two twins are forcibly sewn together. During his several years in the concentration camp, he performed various perverted experiments, which were appalling. According to statistics, as many as 400,000 people died at his hands.
In comparison, the prototype of "The Tick House" is relatively simple, except that the chair and the lion-faced figure are rather naughty, other images are slightly ordinary.
While watching Tick House, I can't help but think of the furniture in the Beauty and the Beast castle, and the haunted houses in other anime. Without contrast, there is no harm. The furnishings and other aspects in "The Tick-tock House" are too rough, not vivid and specific enough.
The whole story is indescribable, and the slightly scary atmosphere is punctuated by inexplicable laughs, which makes the movie look different, nondescript, not funny, and not scary enough.
Of course, this festival intends to see the film itself is a spooky thing, just come and enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately, this has not been satisfied.
So, what exactly is this movie worth watching? Moreover, after Halloween, there is no need to waste time and money. There are so many people who are unemployed now, and it is not easy to earn money. It is better to spend the money to buy a cup of dessert to treat yourself.
After walking out of the movie, I was the only one standing in front of the elevator door and didn't press it. After a minute, I pressed it anyway.
