The film "Sister Ida" (IDA, 2013) tells the story of a Jewish orphan living in Poland who seeks his roots.

For a long time, we lived in the social way that we learned from the Soviet Union. The situation is the same as that of Eastern European countries like Poland. The history of our last generation or two may have been blurred. Clearly, things may not be much different from the story of Sister Ada and her aunt. If there is no strong spiritual pillar to rely on, it is not surprising to be broken.

This movie is a good placebo, and even the pictures are very quiet and beautiful from beginning to end.

    Anna: Yes.

    Wanda: About carnal love?

    Anna: No.

Wanda: That's a shame. You should try, otherwise what sort of sacrifice are these vows of yours?

  • Lis: You've no idea of the effect you have, do you?
