Eliminating violence and protecting family members, such an old man is very cool!

If it weren't for a coincidence, it is very likely that this very cool drama would have been missed. This film is starring the very familiar Bruce Willis, and audiences who have watched the "Die Hard" series must be no strangers. However, most of the films that Lao Bu has received in recent years have a good reputation and gradually fade out of people's attention. And now it's just right to comment on the film's return!

"The Raptors" is actually a remake of the 1974 film of the same name. Except for the different identities of the male protagonists, the content of the story is basically the same, and the 2018 version incorporates many modern factors. The movie tells the story of the surgeon Paul's happy life when his wife and daughter were shot by burglars. In order to avenge his family, in order to achieve the justice he deserves, he began to take the initiative to punish violent criminals on the streets of the city where the night was falling.

old cloth revenge

First of all, after a simple understanding of the plot, it will feel more attractive. After watching the whole movie, it feels good: no procrastination, no bloody, clear logic. The characters change and grow for good reason: from the mild-mannered surgeon to the savage hooded killer, the transition is smooth and unpretentious.

The specific feelings of the film can be experienced by yourself. Here are some of my thoughts after watching the film:

a happy family

1. The middle class cannot afford to hurt

Bruce Willis played the chief surgeon, who should be considered a member of the middle class. The family has a single-family house, a car, a wife who is studying for a degree, and a daughter who is about to go to college. In short, it is a happy family. But in the film, the risk to the middle class is also real: it is easy to be targeted by criminals. After all, as the majority of the middle class, the target is relatively large, and they are not as rich as the real rich, and the protection measures are so well done. I've seen "Criminal Minds" or "CSI" before, and many middle-class people are targeted and killed, not just robbery. Because many people at the bottom are not only seeking money, but also have a mentality of revenge. Simply put, I don't want to see you happy.

Once the middle class is hurt, it can be said to be at a loss. First of all, it is true that everything that I have worked hard for has been in vain, and the emotional blow to the family is even greater, and many people may never be able to get back on track. Just like the old cloth roaring in the film: "I work earnestly and live my duty, what will I get in return?" This gap between giving and receiving has put the middle class in a situation where they cannot afford to hurt.

The father-in-law said that he could not rely on the police to protect him completely, which touched the old cloth

Second, what kind of man is the most secure?

When it comes to the word sense of security, it may be a kind of security that many men want to give their loved ones. But what kind of ability does the so-called "safety" need for a man? Actually it depends on different situations.

First of all, you must have a certain ability to earn money and support your family. Paul is a surgeon, no problem;

Secondly, it has strong hands-on ability, and it is no problem to repair simple faults. From the fact that we saw him teach himself disassembly, shooting, etc. from the video, we know that this man has a strong hands-on ability, and maintenance such small things are naturally not a problem;

Finally, be able to tolerate, love, and love your loved ones emotionally. Paul's love for his wife and daughter is beyond words, and it's a big Ok.

But if the burglary hadn't happened and his wife had died and his daughter had been injured, there's probably another technique Paul would never have possessed, and that's keeping his loved ones safe with firearms.

When Paul attends his wife's funeral, we see his father-in-law as someone who can protect his territory with a gun. Father-in-law's reckless feeling may have been rejected by Paul before, and even felt useless in a modern city. But only after encountering something and experiencing it, will I feel pained and sighed: I also have absolute power to protect everything I love.

The film is clever enough not to let revenge stay on the streets, and ends it all in the self-defense of protecting the family. As a result, the survival skills of holding a gun and shooting were finally solved and became a must to protect family members and protect their own lives.

3. The discussion on whether individuals have the right to lynch execution has not stopped

If it weren't for the fact that Paul's daughter is still alive, I would almost have thought this was a modern Batman story. The same is the death of a close relative, and then a sudden change in psychology, and since then he has embarked on the road of fighting criminals. So, of course, similar to "Batman", we need to discuss whether he personally has the right to use lynching.

After a man in a hood shot a criminal in the film, major media also discussed the matter. The attitude of some people is to at least stop the crime and support it. Another part of the people's attitude is that it should be handed over to the law and the police who have real rights to enforce it. Ordinary people have no right to stop crimes. In fact, this kind of discussion has been raised many times in superhero movies. Although Batman did not kill people, he was also questioned whether he had the right to wiretap and capture suspects.

Strictly speaking, after the social division of labor has been refined, people are accustomed to entrusting things to "entitled" and "more professional" people. But it is equally likely to breed a spread of apathy. If you look at this kind of thing from an individual, it seems that there are not many people who can rush out to stop a crime. First, they have no ability, and second, it is better to have less than one more thing.

The so-called lynching, most importantly, is considered to be the deprivation of the rights of the society by the individual. It is not okay for a person to find a criminal guilty. Most people need to be proven, tried, and then convicted, and then go through the process, and finally carry out the matching punishment.

There may not be a definite answer to this question. All I can say is that perhaps the social progress has a detailed division of labor, allowing us to "perform each of our duties." But I also hope that everyone in each position can be conscientious.

hand gesture to thief

Fourth, can he really stop?

"With great power comes great responsibility", this is Spider-Man's famous saying, and it is also the code of conduct for all superheroes. In the film, doctor Paul used to be an angel in white with a scalpel, fighting against death. His ability lies in rescuing the sick. And because of emergencies, he has another skill, that is, agility, precise shooting, and direct strikes against criminals. It has to be said that it is also a very good ability. But because the law does not allow it, and because he needs to switch to the role of a father, he said he would suspend this part of the activity.

But we think in turn: Will he really quit? At the end of the film, he saw someone stealing a box, he couldn't help but stop it, and used his hand gesture like a gun to give him a bullet. Does it also indicate that this so-called inertia of righteousness and courage will always be there? Especially when he is immersed in a kind of mysterious hero who is regarded as a mysterious hero by the whole people, he can't help but "wow" when he is watching other people's videos of himself, and he will feel complacent when he hears other people's positive comments on himself. Can emotions really be controlled? For his ability, the thrill of killing, and the pursuit of social media, can he really not miss it? Don't forget, his wife has passed away, and his daughter is about to go to college in New York, so he will have more free time when he is alone, and the life of a civilian hero like a bachelor may be about to kick off!

5. The background of the film is very interesting

The film tells that the protagonist is shaped as a positive image of protecting his family. After watching it, it is easy to support him emotionally, and naturally his understanding of guns will also change to some extent. Depending on who is using it, it's not all harm, but also home defense. So some people say that the film is also a gun propaganda film, which is very interesting.

It must be noted that 1974's "The Raptors" was created in the early 1970s when the violent crime situation in the United States was increasing. At that time, the film made an earth-shattering and blatant proposition of "relying on violence with violence", allowing victims to help themselves and launch violent counterattacks against criminals, which caused quite heated discussions in the year of its premiere. So what kind of background is the 2018 remake based on? Will it have something to do with the current state of the United States under Trump's administration? I don't understand politics, so I don't want to YY anymore. Interested friends can think about it.

safe father and daughter

After watching the film, it reminds me directly of Hurricane Rescue. It also created a very powerful and manly father. The advantage of "The Raptors" is that the characters have a change in identity, which is the biggest point of view. The double life of being a surgeon to a street shooter feels very exciting. Thinking of the end of the film, it seems that Paul's heroic heart is still beating, and whether his daughter's college life will be ups and downs again, in short, if this film can be made into a "Hurricane" series, at least I will not refuse!

PS After watching the video, I feel that "the skills are too much to overwhelm", which is really the truth! Learning one more technique can sometimes save lives!

    The rhythm is well controlled, the plot is catchy, and the action scenes are more exciting, a qualified Hollywood assembly line product. However, many details are not in place, and the depth of conception is also slightly lacking.
