On the road of Nicolas Cage, the king of bad films, the film "Mandy" suddenly appeared. It seems that many people don't like it very much. At least I understand it when I see the ratings, but the ratings can really be objective. Is this still a bad movie? ! In my opinion, of course not. "Mandy" is a revenge story with a cult color. Maybe it is simple in terms of the story, but the important thing is that the film has to be shot. The world where the cultists are drugged and psychedelic is colorful, and the extremely strong psychedelic colors make you fascinated. The heroine herself is a painter of abstract paintings, which is also for the follow-up cult bishop. Foreshadowing, the thought and spirit of the heroine is the catalyst for the climax of the cult bishop, and the revenge route in the later period shows the extreme bloody violence of the film, a kind of violent aesthetics that is vividly reflected, beheading, piercing, shooting, etc. It was very refreshing to watch, and it was a relief to be immersed in the ultimate dream world of the cultists, especially the scene where the hand squeezed the head of the cult leader was even more refreshing, set off by the interweaving of fire and blood. There is a hearty and incisive joy, at least Nicholas Cage is better than the previous bad films, the roar of grief, the thrill of revenge and the fantasy of love, this film just does not conform to the mainstream, it does not mean that it is not brilliant.
