To be honest, this movie did not give me a bright feeling, but made me feel a little bit deviated from the original intention of Chainsaw. "Jigsaw" was supposed to give hope to those who do not cherish life in despair. For a character, the entire trial process can also be understood as a kind of redemption, not just killing and cruelty, blood plasma, violence, "Jigsaw" wants people to understand forgiveness, and I think this is also the film's unsure one point.
In addition, the various ingenious mechanisms in the chainsaw are also a highlight of the series, but the death mechanism in this one is disappointing.
I think if the chainsaw series can't make a breakthrough in the follow-up, or can't be different, I personally think it's better not to destroy the classics.
