the first lady

The film is about the various responses and deeds of the First Lady after Kennedy's assassination. It is a bit of a pseudo-documentary. I don't know much about this mystery. It is a political topic of design. However, I am impressed by Natalie Portman's performance. The title of first lady is not something that anyone can afford. She has a series of emotions, reactions and performances after the assassination of the president of the United States and her husband. The truth is unparalleled, and the handling of the funeral also shows a strong spirit and wisdom.

3.5 Portman's performance is very wonderful, withstood the test of super close-up close-ups, this is worth watching. The script also won an award. I don't quite understand this because I feel that the shortcomings of this film are just the thinness of the script. There are many suspicions of filling time, and there are very few real hammers, except for the protagonist. In this way, although Larain’s dazzling skills and fancy editing have made the feeling that the form is greater than the content, it can be regarded as saving the script anyway.

It's hard to write, hard to act, but it's all well done. Prejudice arises because of ignorance, and it is good to have a judgment on the past.

Jackie quotes

  • Bobby Kennedy: What do you want me to do first, Hmm? Plan the funeral or pack the furniture?

  • The Journalist: You left your mark on this country, Mrs. Kennedy. These past few days, that the story. Losing a president is like... It's like losing a father. And you were a mother to all of us, and that's a very good story.
