The only horror novel that moved me to tears

The movie hasn't been released yet, but after watching the trailer, I feel a lot. I will give it a four-star rating and wait for the movie.

This novel is different from other horror novels, and the description of human nature is too real.

When I read it when I didn't have children, I felt that the father in the novel was self-inflicted. How can you change the laws of nature.

But I am now a father with a lovely son. If such a tragedy happened to my child, even if I knew the ending, even if I would go down to the abyss, even if I risked the whole family's life, I know that I would definitely go to the pet cemetery just like the father in the novel, even if it is only a very small amount. One, one in a billion hope.

I hope it can be filmed well, and don't let fans down.

It gives me the feeling that the actors can, the scene can be restored, the hardware is ok, but what is missing, 90 minutes is still too fast, if you pay more attention to the depiction of details and the delicacy of the characters, then the adaptation is qualified, but you have to let it go. If the fans of the non-original novels are satisfied, they should pay attention to the importance of the secondary creation and do the work of the horror atmosphere.

Sow melons and get melons, sow beans and get beans, and sow people and get monsters.

Pet Sematary quotes

  • Jud Crandall: It's not some campfire story.

[referring to the symbols on the trees from the drawing in the book]

Louis Creed: I saw these on the trees up there.

Jud Crandall: They're warnings. The local tribes carved them before they fled. They fear that place. There's something up there, something that dates way back.

  • Jud Crandall: It was a myth. Kids used to dare each other to go into the woods at night. They knew the power of that place. They feared it. Those woods belong to something else. The ground is bad. It maybe just some crazy folktale, but there is something up in those woods, something that brings things back. Sometimes dead is better.
