Calmly talk about channeling

I actually think this film is trying to tell the audience about psychics, hoping that people who don't understand or don't believe can experience the world on the other side from more dimensions. Just discussing the plot and shooting techniques should not be what the film hopes to leave to the audience.

This film does not use psychics as a medium to tell stories of different timelines, but introduces the audience into a world where psychics exist and can watch life and death through several calm and slightly ingenious stories.

However, the topic of life and death is too grand. In order to allow people to think about or pay attention to such a field that cannot be explained with "rationality" for the time being, the film only touches the boundary of this Hongda field-spiritual Media, people who have experienced "death". The opening scene of the disaster finally explained the visual effects of why the film was nominated for Oscar, which was really shocking. The three lines did not constitute a magical chemical effect, but weakened the plot and emotion. Dongmutou, who is over eighty years old, in this movie is not so much about human nature and emotions, it is more about his future life.

Hereafter quotes

  • George Lonegan: Sometimes, I mean you know, knowing everything about someone, uhhh, its, uh, it seems nice, but really, maybe it's-it's actually better to hold stuff back.

  • George Lonegan: I'm sorry, I'm losing him now. He's... he's leaving. He wants to leave.

Marcus: No, Jase. Don't go. You can't.

    [starts crying]

Marcus: Don't leave me. I don't wanna be here without you. Please, Jase, don't go. I miss you.

George Lonegan: Okay, he came back. He's here. He says if you're worried about being on your own, don't be. You're not. Because he is you and you are him. One cell. One person. Always.
