The spiritual outburst of minorities

The Widows League, a symbol of a group of people who have grown spiritually among American minorities, regained their strength and fought against the corrupt political and economic system based on power and money.

Basically, it's a "family affair" in America.

Whether it is white or a minority, as long as they plunge into the social system, they will unscrupulously and endlessly plunder power and money, both of which could have been used to help those in need, but are used in the opposite direction.

The "Widows' League" in the movie does the "right" thing in a seemingly "wrong" way, which is in line with the current state of American society.

Of course, it's all metaphors in the movie.

Better than "The Eight Female Arhats"

A very serious heist film is hardly a cool film at all. When women are not allowed to go to crime, the situation is definitely not as cool and painless as in Ou Shen 8. 8 is just changing the sex of the protagonist. The narrative routine has not changed at all and the gender logic and female dilemma in the real world have not been changed at all. Take into consideration. On the contrary, the main line of heist in this film looks like it was added to promote the film as a genre. The film actually wants to discuss gender inequality, women’s living conditions and women’s awakening, but also ambitiously broaden the existence of Violence (gender violence, domestic violence, police violence, street violence, etc.), political corruption, and ethnic conflicts are also mixed in. It is bold to make heist so loaded, but the result is that the pace is a bit poor. Some of the shots are brilliant, and I was a little surprised to see the long lens on the front cover of the car. Debiki is really a fairy, she appears as if a drop of powerful decontamination bleach is dripping on a dirty screen.

    Alice: Why ?

Veronica: Because no-one thinks we have the balls to pull this off.

  • Jack Mulligan: What I've learned from men like my father and your husband is that you reap what you sow.

    Veronica: Let's hope so.
