"Overlord": a bloody + brain-damaged World War II zombie film

It is recommended not to read the content introduction before watching the movie, because it will directly affect the viewing experience. The first half of the film is similar to "Saving Private Ryan", with one team and one mission; it's straightforward, quite satisfactory, with occasional excitement and high energy. Since the male protagonist entered the laboratory, it has turned a corner. The subsequent part has completely transformed from a war movie to a horror movie. The bloody scenes and atmosphere creation complement each other, from "Saving Private Ryan" to "Resident Evil". I personally think that the turning point here is the highlight of the film, just like "Dawn Before Dawn", which makes the audience stunned after a series of narrations. This is the main reason why I advise you not to read the content introduction, after all, there are no surprises and no surprises. Personally, I think the first half is better than the second half. Although the theme of World War II + zombies is not uncommon in film and television, compared to the previous work "Red Snow", the ingenuity and seriousness of "Overlord" are obvious to all, which is also a major improvement.

The biggest advantage of this film is that it is bloody, let's put a few pictures first

boss

And apart from the bloody scenes of this film, the tense atmosphere of this film is still created relatively well.

Then apart from these, the biggest problem is "brainless"

It's obvious that you're on a mission, and you said you should be quiet, but you're yelling at the back. Are you sure you won't provoke the enemy? ?

Loudly loud

The protagonist's team is fighting, screaming, and shooting on the top of the heroine's building. Wouldn't this attract the enemy? ? Isn't the patrol here strict as mentioned earlier? Wouldn't it be attractive to shoot?

There is also the male protagonist who entered the laboratory and let him discover the secrets here without any hindrance, and inexplicably followed a bottle of "medicine". This laboratory should be a very important place for the German army, right? It's so easy to get in, and it's so easy to get out? Wasn't spotted by the enemy at all? And the Shungo Pharmacy is obviously to serve the later plot, but it is not in line with common sense at all. You should be thinking of how to escape in it. Where did you get the leisure to watch these and deliberately take things? ?

And when the corporal was knocked down by the boss zombies, the boss had to say those big nonsense before him, the same for the male protagonist, he had to drown him slowly, you forgot how they beat you before, you must To be patient to torture him? Probably just to torture him, but can you stop talking nonsense? This is the same problem as in those trash horror movies, where the boss always wants to give the protagonist a chance to turn his back on the nonsense.

The frightening method of the whole film is also relatively old-fashioned, that is, it suddenly jumps out to scare you. Fortunately, I have already practiced and cleared the level in "Resident Evil". If you want to scare me, can you create an atmosphere like "Unknown Female Corpse"? Woolen cloth? ?

And then the relationship between the heroine and the hero is also very strange, they just look at each other inexplicably, which I don't understand. And the aunt of the heroine was also tested. I began to think that she would have some bright appearances in the back, but I didn't expect to be killed directly in the back. What's the use of the foreshadowing in the front? Isn't this a bad guy surprise?

What I admired most about the whole film was Corporal. When I watched it, I felt very familiar. Later, after reading the introduction, I found out that he appeared in the second episode of "Black Mirror Season 3" "The Rules of the Game", the one who played the game and died. The guy who got it, also had a terrifying atmosphere in that episode, and it seems that he has also been substituted into this movie, no wonder he looks familiar.

overlord
Black Mirror Season 3

In short, this film can't stand the torture of logic, but if you watch it for blood and horror, it will satisfy you.

It's a waste of time, politically correct to the point of rolling one's eyes, no respect for war, and the story is so childish as to be speechless.

The French girl in 1995 has good looks and acting skills. When she is fierce, she is really fierce at first. If she doesn't deliberately fail to handle it, she will definitely be hot in the future.
