Talk about the artistry of "Killing Eve"

Some people think that the plot of this drama is old-fashioned, there are many bugs, and the reasoning is not rigorous enough. But in my opinion, it doesn't matter, because the director is focusing on portraying Villanelle and eve.

Jail (Artists in) Jail (Artists in)

In the field of art, if an artist has been in prison, his work is often enhanced by the fact that he has been in prison.

Prison disaster can brighten their image as artists, and they will be defined as heroes with the aura of bravery and fearlessness, who can face persecution head on.

For example, Vincent van Gogh at the Asylum of Saint-Rémy, whose status in the art market today is inseparable from that period of solitary prison time.

Also on our v, her killer image seems to be reasonable from the moment she sits in prison, maybe she can only be called a lunatic before that. But without this experience, she may not be her, may not have such artistry.

The relationship between the madman and the artist is indescribable.

Just as members of the British royal family saw Edvard Munch's "The Scream", he asked in confusion, "Is this friend painted like this because he is a lunatic, or is it because he painted like this that caused his madness?"

We also can't be sure, is v herself a lunatic, or is it because she did something counterintuitive that caused her insanity? "

Some people say that changing the role of the little perverted actor to the role of "Killing Eve" as a horror film. But in fact, the artistry of the show is precisely there.

If replaced by MaggieQ, she may be more in line with the image of a sexy and beautiful female killer. But it will probably stay in the same modeling template as Charlie's Angels or Nikita.

And our little pervert, different from the traditional template, has a distinct pre-Raphaelite style on her body, extremely sexy plump lips, deep eyelids, waterfall-like blonde hair and a sweet and mellow body, uh (pout A mouth), which is what you call fat.

Unlike the previous villain killers, she does not rely on sacrifice to complete the whitewashing like those fanatics, or use patriotism as the final destination to soothe her guilt. She is so faithful to maintain her original appearance, impulsive but not lustful, indifferent but not neurotic.

She was as wild and restless as the Austrian painter Egon Schiele, and people were equally fond of dissecting them with the Freudian psychology of the Viennese era. Her sense of alienation stems from the loneliness she has been rejected since childhood, but it preserves her own innocence to the greatest extent possible. And this is an important factor that cannot be separated from artistic creation.

So she likes playing dead tricks with agents, filling rooms with balloons and cakes, flirting with Konstantin in bubble dresses, getting jealous for his little daughter, pouting at him for never calling herself Small sausages.

While she's a little cynical and listless and looks like she's coquettish, her fresh face and flexible body are actually passionate about extreme things and have a strong love for death. All of this presents us with a pleasing contrast.

That's why we have no fear when we see her kill. Because this is her appreciation for violence, she has no guilt nor the struggles of a sane killer. She's enjoying it, she's creating, so when she mentions the dead it's like she's referring to her favorite flavor of ice cream.

It is precisely because of the scarcity of killers like her that I believe the audience who loves her has the same reason as the Twelve Apostles. We are all madly in love with her.

At least, these qualities prove that before meeting eve, she is indeed a perfect work of art under the screenwriter's pen.

Mediocre artist Middlebrow

Dark and short, with swollen and loose skin on his eyes, but with a head of hair that was so dark and thick that our little perverts couldn't control themselves, eve looked a bit banal indeed.

While many of us are fascinated by Sandra Oh's charisma, I prefer to admit that our love for her extends from the banality of art to a fascination with kitsch.

How about kitsch, which comes from the German word "verkitschen", which means to make something cheap. For example, a travel commemorative model of the Eiffel Tower, a T-shirt with the Mona Lisa, and a musical ashtray that plays the theme song of "The Godfather" when you snuff out a cigarette.

Basically, for the viewer, art that is easy to relax rather than tense can bring a dislocated experience and false feeling.

This also explains why every time the lens goes to eve, it is gray and dark, and when it goes to v, it is gorgeous. Because the art of kitsch, the constant contrast between eve and v, can have a satirical effect.

Irony what, ironic the little pervert said to the "self-righteous" eve "when you climb high enough, you may find that we are working for the same group of people".

Irony When eve gets bored with a job that doesn't work to his full potential, the little pervert rides fast on a sturdy Harley.

Ironically, when eve twice suggested that sex could not be satisfied, the little pervert slept with two people at the same time.

Irony is the key variable that allows screen audiences to be drawn to and pay for mediocrity.

Villanelle, villain ele, is pronounced upside down and sounds like eve.

They are like two naked people standing in front of the same mirror, looking at each other. The people in the mirror are constantly attracted by the "other self in the world".

Or you can imagine a Matisse-like interior painting, one that has all the good elements: a gorgeous background, a feminine silhouette, fashionable outfits, but looking up, a face of Vlillanelle Disappears from your pupils, and turns into Eve's face little by little.

It was also the encounter with eve that transformed the little pervert from a work of art into a flesh-and-blood artist.

I have to say that the screenwriter of this show really understands art, or it can be said that he is very good at marketing art.

Anger and Angst

You know, in art there are two kinds of anger, one bad and one good. Good anger is called anxiety, but I'd rather talk about bad anger because it's an interesting point.

Bad anger often represents the emotion displayed in traditional figurative works, and it is not well received by people. For example, in this type of work, the faces of the characters are better with a smile than a scowl.

In this drama, only V's face is biased towards blessing, which can give people a feeling of pleasing and happiness. And eve's face is more miserable, it is a kind of conflict and pain, it seems that the years are not kind to her.

Therefore, if only from the looks, many people may prefer v, and people are more willing to accept it. But the charm of our eve is too strong! Breaking away from the figurative elements, that is, their skin, and abstracting them to talk about their interior, eve's charm is slightly stronger than that of petty perverts, and biu~ is reversed a little bit, creating a very strong contrast.

So here I really want to sigh the artistry of the screenwriter again at this point.

Even in a small detail, you will find that even the music at the beginning of each episode and the title have clearly chosen artistic words, "I don't, I can't", which makes people feel like It's fashionably repeating the Rolling Stones lyric "I can't get satisfaction"

The whole drama revolves around the erotic lust of the two people, which has spread to the climax at the end of the play, which is the last episode. Lovesickness is rampant, they chase each other but have little action. They finally lie on the same bed, confessing to each other and talking to each other. When their lust is at their strongest, they stab them in. Their infatuation with each other is like opening a bottle of Ladu Manor at this time. The cork of the priceless wine in 1965, while a work of art (their emotions) in the process of deification and destruction, is extracted into the ultimate aesthetics that can satisfy our sense of pleasure and excitement.

To tell the truth, here, before the knife, the little perverted love or eve's "tired" may just represent the arrogance of a fallen lion, or the heroism of a buck. But after a knife, no one can tell who is the Lion King and who is the Buck.

So, fortunately they don't have sex. Otherwise I would think that would be a real failure.

All in all, I still recommend you watch this show. Recommended index, five stars.

I'm Guoguo, I hope you are happy.
