Matt Damon has been unfavorable recently, and he has made several bad films that have been controversial. The opening film in Venice last year was eye-popping. The core of the criticism seems to be the same as that of "The Great Wall", with its deep-rooted Western-centric rhetoric and colonial thinking. White Western men saving Asian women still have an outdated and rigid portrayal of traditional Eastern women. The sci-fi ideas and racial class discussion in the first half of the script are quite creative. If this trend continues, it might be possible to concoct a sci-fi fable with a strong sense of irony. What is embarrassing is that the second half of the plot began to collapse gradually, sinking in the direction of the so-called white man's spiritual self-salvation. Matt Damon's performance is also embarrassing enough to make people look straight.
