Mountain 2 viewing experience (highly recommended) - to a gang of warriors for survival and justice
I saw the recommended movie "Mountain 2" videos on the headlines one after another. It is a small cost (only an Abrams is not enjoyable, and there is no ground-to-air, open-ground, ground-to-sea grand war machine scene). In Turkish movies, the most intense battlefield of the whole plot is only in a small village. The scene is quite barren and shabby, but the air quality is quite good (visually much better than in China, it is a good place for tourism). This small-budget movie is naturally incomparable to the old American war movies in terms of visual effects, and it will give you the visual impact of indiscriminate bombardment of aircraft carriers, destroyers, and fighter jets. At the juncture of crisis, the fighter jets took off directly from the aircraft carrier to solve the battle remotely (in the plot, the captain actually joked about this kind of plot). The headlines are full of short videos. About three or five minutes, the full screen of sniper footage, the insolent M1 tanks and a group of resolute special soldiers make people burst with adrenaline. This is definitely a movie that is both distracting (sniper footage and the sound of an assault rifle falling to the ground) and distracting (it will touch the moving point in the depths of the soul and burst into tears).
The plot is actually very simple, it can also be called cliché, can refer to Wolf Warrior 2 and Bruce Willis' Tears of the Sun. A Turkish war correspondent exposed the terrorist crimes of the IS group in the media and was caught by the IS group. In the past, IS groups usually demand ransom when they capture foreign personnel, but this time, because female journalists reported their crimes, IS had to behead them to the public. Based on this situation, a seven-person special operations team was established and went to Iraq for a rescue mission.
The sacrifice of every special forces member in the movie is to achieve the smooth retreat of the team as a whole, because Turkey's names are really difficult to remember, so let's number them in the order in which they sacrificed. Because thousands of IS elements besieged the squad and were outnumbered, No. 1 was captured by IS. In order to prevent himself from being used as a shield by the IS elements to threaten the team, he detonated his hand grenade. His only wish was to hope that the other team members could protect his son and grow up; while covering the retreat, No. 2 was shot by the opponent's sniper and knelt on his knees. . In the open area, there is no other cover. The team must solve the IS snipers before they can continue to retreat. No. 2 asked teammates to use themselves as shields to cover teammates and kill the opponent's snipers. Relying on the cover of his body, the teammates successfully headshot the IS sniper (this bridge has not been seen in other war films, and it can detonate tears). No. 3 is the captain, an officer in his 50s, with wisdom and courage in his eyes. When the team was trapped at the final retreat point and ran out of ammunition, they saw a suicide bomber sent by IS, strapped with a detonator, and wanted to rush to the team's location and die. At this time, the captain resolutely rushed towards the suicide attacker. During the process of running, he was deeply moved by his brave and resolute dark blue eyes. Some time ago, I watched Wu Jing's blockbuster Wolf Warrior, but after watching both films, I savoured the fact that there are differences between the two. Wolf Warriors and Mountain 2 are divided into different systems in the theme of war. The former is a strong personal heroism, and Leng Feng's individual combat ability is terrifying (I do not deny that such artistic packaging is acceptable, as Wu Jing said in an interview, relying on In American movies, one person can fight against hundreds of people and still not die, but Chinese actors can't in Chinese movies. Art is art, it is about a kind of spirit, internalized energy is there), to promote national prestige, the latter pays attention to Team operations of tactical groups, cross-cover advance, stripped retreat, individual defense area coverage, and sniper attack with handheld rockets, may be closer to actual combat.
From another level, Shan 2 pairs characters fighting in foreign environments, and their complex mood descriptions are quite in place when faced with tasks and justice choices. This is also where the Chinese drama of this war movie does a great job. Originally, the mission was almost completed, and the female reporter was rescued and returned to the base by plane. On the way home, I saw many civilians and even children killed by IS, and I ended up sleeping rough in a village that was about to be surrounded and massacred by IS. The female reporter and the captain started a dialogue about justice and the mission of warriors in human nature. As a soldier, the mission is to bravely complete the task, bring the female reporter back to the base safely, and bring back all his team members safely, so that they can live like family. Fairness and justice in human nature, I think the captain's mind is the same as that of the reporter. Soldiers ignore a lot of justice when they perform their tasks, and this is what needs to be done for people and war machines. They should defend this village, which is full of old and weak women and children, because they have the ability. From a humanitarian standpoint, they may be able to do something for these poor people's right to live. As they are not a country or race, they do not have this obligation on a political or military level. I think this is also the reason why the international community later emphasized that human rights are greater than sovereignty (removing the American imperialist thick-hearted thought). As a female reporter, her sense of responsibility is a kind of idealism. She fantasizes that she can help every weak person. She can't bear to be ravaged and tortured by IS until they die in the foreseeable future. Courage is not about killing an enemy or defending a borderline on a map. In war, there is only one reason for courage, and that is justice. To see the weak being slaughtered and not to rescue them betrays justice. If the completion of the task is regarded as a kind of bravery, she would rather stay and live as cowardly as these people. In fact, if there is no special forces, she really can only accompany the people in the village to cowardly live or even die, but what she represents is not the body, but a spirit. But in the end, the sense of justice in the human nature of the special forces surpassed the mission of a soldier, and stayed to defend the villagers and let the reporters and children evacuated.
There is no need to describe the details of war movies too much. If you are interested, you can watch the movie yourself. What I have in mind is the reflection of these words above. Before leaving, the captain told reporters not to write down what they did, let alone report it, because they didn't exist, they were shadows, so they couldn't be known. Today (9/30) is also the National Martyr's Day, remembering those heroes who were and are guarding us!
