What is Christmas? It is to look back on the past tenderly, to face the present with firmness and courage, and to look forward to the future full of hope.

This quote by Agnes M. Pahro is the most precise exposition of the story.

This is an animated film adapted from a famous book, a fable and a wish.

The story begins with Marley's death.

Marley and Albinsha Scrooge open a grocery store together. One Christmas Eve, Marley died. Scrooge did the final certification for it. After determining Marley's death, the certifier of death asked Scrooge for a fee. Scrooge gave the "Spokesperson of the God of Death" a coin, but the spokesperson was too few, so Scrooge gave another coin. The agent was finally satisfied.

Scrooge is an extremely miserly man.

Before closing the coffin, Scrooge took down the two copper coins that had been placed over Marley's eyes. That's right, just because he just lost two copper coins.

Scrooge was such a miser as old Grandet.

Seven years later, on Christmas Eve, "Marley's Spirit", who had been wandering for many years, appeared in front of Scrooge. In a creepy manner.

Marley's soul was bound by four heavy iron blocks and four thick iron cables and floated into Scrooge's face. No matter how strong Scrooge is, he is also afraid. Marley tells the frightened Scrooge that three elves will come to him starting tomorrow night.

At one o'clock the next morning, the first elf came to Scrooge in horror. Learned in the conversation that this is the Christmas elves of the past. The Elf brought Scrooge to the place where he was born. Tears instantly lost Scrooge's eyes. In this place where Scrooge can find his way with his eyes closed, Scrooge sees a forgotten child. This kid is Scrooge. He murmured, dazed and frustrated in the empty classroom. Lonely Scrooge did not wait for his classmates, but he did wait for his sister Xiaofen. Xiaofen brought him a merry Christmas.

This was the first Christmas Eve he saw.

The elf took him to the second Christmas Eve. It's where Scrooge apprentices. The cold Scrooge was pleasantly surprised. That night, he saw the happy times of youth. What a friend gives, what a lover gives.

On the second night, now the Christmas elves came to Scrooge. Holding the elf's burqa, they went to the city that night and overlooked the world. Yes, this is God's perspective. That night, he saw the poverty and warmth of human beings. It was the home of Bob, Scrooge's employee. Before the meal, Bob thanked Scrooge, the creator of the meal; at his nephew's house, he saw the guests' blessing for him who was not there. Scrooge felt the love.

On the third night, he saw his own funeral, a cold one. During the funeral, there were no relatives and friends, and the only shirt was stolen by a servant.

This is the death that Scrooge could experience.

This future Christmas elf is none other than Death.

That night, he saw that some people were happy because of his death, and some people were suffering because of it. In the weeping of the Bob family, Scrooge was healed.

In a desperate thirst for life, the future Christmas elf erases the words on Scrooge's tombstone. He came back to reality.

Yes, he lived yesterday, today and tomorrow again. In the light, he would smile. He was no longer the gloomy, lonely, mean-spirited Scrooge. He fell in love with many people and thanked many people.

This is a Christmas Eve story, a story about selfishness and generosity.

All our actions predict our end, and all our joys and sorrows are seen.

It's a quintessential Disney movie, and it's also an ode to happiness and generosity.

Thanks Dickens. Hope his words heal you.
