Pompeii is not so annihilated

At around 13:00 on a certain day in October 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted. Volcanic ash and rubble kept falling on Pompeii. But it was the pyroclastic flow that killed most of the victims when it drowned Pompeii at 100 kilometers per hour at 7 a.m. the next morning. The volcanic eruption and the destruction of Pompeii in the movie are also in the afternoon, and the tsunami and volcanic bombs (volcanic bombs are the flint in the movie) will destroy the buildings of Pompeii. But in fact, when we searched for pictures of Pompeii ruins, we found that the preservation of Pompeii's architectural streets was relatively complete. That is to say, the director ignored history and logic for the sake of scene effects.
