The impeccable blueprint gives "The Witness for the Prosecution" a perfect film structure. The witty and humorous character lines and the interlocking suspenseful depth are enough to make people deeply fascinated by this seemingly old black and white image, but it is so From beginning to end, it is impossible to speculate on the context of the ending. When the suspense is finally solved, it is difficult to describe how amazing the words are. The reversal of Ashi's ending is often praised, but I personally appreciate the film's characterization, several rounds of battles before and in court, not dry or tense, witty and humorous, and has a lot of skill in succession and transformation, Billy Wilder brings it into a strong sense of immersion, Mary Dietrich's acting charm is still the same, and Charles Laughton's lawyer sees the truth in his words and demeanor. This movie can be said to be a super classic. The actors have first-class acting skills, a first-class plot, a hearty confrontation between defense and accusation, the image of the hero and heroine, and the ending that will never be known until the last moment. Just know why a classic is a classic!
