To be honest, I just finished watching this movie. That's not to say it's not scary, its horror atmosphere is perfect, but there are too many flaws in the plot.
One of the most obvious is the "light" problem. It's a common topic in horror movies that the protagonist doesn't turn on the lights, but in this film, it seems that this element is deliberately exaggerated.
Diana can only appear in the dark, and if the surrounding light is always on, it is difficult to insert the scary part, plus the title of the film is "After the Lights" also implies this. What puzzles me is that when the heroine and her boyfriend searched the room, they were obviously looking for her mother, and they entered a room with all the curtains drawn. Turning on the lights is a normal thing, but they No, it is very difficult to find things in the dark, which will trigger the occurrence of the next horror episode. But fortunately, the horror part is not bad.
I vaguely remember watching a horror movie before, and the light in the protagonist's house is often turned off. In that movie, a reasonable explanation was given on the spot. Because the house was obtained from a loan, it seems that due to financial problems, the electricity bill has not been paid, and most of the light sources in the home are flashlights and candles. Although I think about it carefully, I want to complain, but at least I have a reason.
There are also issues with the overall script. The story is good, but a little untenable. After watching the whole scene, it will feel very loose and not full. Maybe because of the time.
Seems a bit nitpicky and overkill.
