Disappointed but still recommend

I was so disappointed after watching Borderlands 2. Everyone will be disappointed if a favorite movie makes such a sequel, especially if the screenwriter has not changed (this is the only time this screenwriter missed, his first "Slayer of the Border", "Through Fire and Water", "Wind Riverdale" and "Yellowstone" are great), although when you see that the director is no longer Denis Villeneuve, it is almost certain that the second one will suck.

How much do I like the first one? I watch it almost twice a year, and I will never get tired of watching it over and over again at the border crossing. I also wrote an article about 1 before, and friends who are interested can go and see it.

The rottenness of the second part can be attributed to one factor - too much talk, too much talk.

As the saying goes, there is no limit to words, but too many words will be lost, too many words, too full of lines, it will appear that the director is not confident in his own expression (except Quentin), and it will make the movie appear stupid, in turn, concise and comprehensive The movie is smart, and the first one did it. The characters try not to give lines, but use eyes, expressions and actions to express as much as possible. The audience has to understand the motives and purposes of the characters themselves. It is very representative that Kate rushed into the bank. In that part, Matt tried to stop her but did not stop her. Here, the movie did not give Matt a chance to explain why Kate was not allowed to rush into the bank. Instead, it explained it with the next two scenes in the bar and the apartment, which successfully triggered the Next episode. This is an extremely clever choreography technique, and if Matt explained it clearly at the beginning, it would be a waste of time.

In the second part, not only did Matt talk endlessly, but even the coolest sicario, Alessandro, started talking about it. Because many of my friends haven't watched it yet, I won't start it. If you liked the grimness of the first, then prepare to be disappointed when you watch the second.

There is another meaning of talking too much, that is, over-arranging and speaking too clearly. For example, in the first part, the director didn't want to bother to introduce Alessandro at all, and only revealed his skin through the mouths of other characters. The iceberg below the water surface is left to the audience to think about, and the atmosphere created by the film is enough to help the audience establish A plump figure. The second film even filmed how Matt found Alessandro to return to the team. This is too clear, and it is no different from a traditional commercial film. We all know that a person who came from nowhere and is going where is the most attractive, and the second part is: Well, I have your old buddies back again, be happy! It should be noted that what we want is not familiarity at all, we want strangeness, or mystery.

In a word, the first part won by not mentioning a word of what should not have been said, and the second part lost because all the things that should have been said and should not have been said were poured out, so I was timid. Of course, there are also unreasonable plots, which are too low-level, and I am not happy to mention them. If you even thought the first one was so-so, then don't watch the second one at all. If you like highly realistic firearms, hard-line military style and madly cool and handsome firefighting scenes, then you can watch this.
