Haven't watched this 2 yet. Because I liked the first part too much, let me talk about my thoughts before watching the trailer and watching the main film.

Is violence happy?

Is violence a cool thing?

From the tone of the first part, the answer given by the "Frontier" series is: violence always means pain.

Corpses who have lost their lives to crimes on the border; men who have lost their wives and daughters in the most painful way; sons who have lost their fathers; women who have been forced to tell the truth; A land where a community ball game can't be done.

This is by no means a happy movie.

Not to mention the cool rap music with explosive pictures, which makes people have the urge to swing.

It doesn't need to.

In stories that express pain, [not speaking] expresses more than [speaking].

The man never confronted us with his past, forced us to understand his bloody pain.

But he first killed the enemy's child resolutely, and then killed the enemy.

Since then, I feel that there is no other way to describe his pain.

I'd rather his character has always been a mysterious man who doesn't know where he lives or dies.

The depth is gone, the coolness is still there

The backbone of the film's story: terrorist attacks, infighting in drug cartels, what happened to Isabelle in the end, etc., were not explained clearly, so the anticlimactic ending seems to be blank and has endless aftertastes, but in fact, the viewing experience is extremely poor. As an audience, I care about It's the way these plots go, and the result... that's all there is to it. Cool, but also very lacking in depth.
